What a great place. Full of interesting farming paraphernalia, tractors, mill wheels, ploughs etc. Some video presentations of history of farming in Scotland and Kittochside farm -the family donated the whole farm and land. There’s play areas for children and learning zones. You can take a tractor pulled trailer ride to the farm. See pigs, horses, cows, sheep, hens. We saw piglets. You can go into the farmhouse and see what it was like in times past. Wear wellies it is a farm after all!
The museum is modern and bright. There’s a cafe for light lunches/ coffee and cake. A wee shop with farm related gifts. Staff were friendly and helpful. And it’s not an admission fee it’s actually an annual pass. Full price £11 we got concessions £9. We can go as many times as we like within the year. Great value. Easy to get to from M77 and plenty parking. Highly recommend

    Visited a few times now.
My 7 year old and two year old love visiting this place.
Firstly, it’s a good outdoor cheap family day out. We mainly visit on weekends.
There’s two parking areas. The main car park normally gets very busy from around 11am onwards but there is an overflow car park with plenty of space and a very small walk to the main area.
If you’re visiting at the weekend, best to park here and not waste your time with the main car park.
There plenty to do for young kids with climbing frames and swings etc. probably too many to mention. Also there’s bouncy castles and other things to entertain the wee ones and these come at a small cost.
You can either buy tokens or cash/card.
There’s a cafe area too for lunch/cakes or a hot/cold drink. Was busy which says a lot.
If you want to see the animals there’s a small charge but it all adds to the day.

If you haven’t visited yet then I would definitely recommend for a good/cheap day out

Beautiful place, great for walking round, especially for people who have disabilities as it’s all flat, also great for taking your dogs or young children as they have a small playground, the only negatives is the cafe as it is very expensive, and the food is not the best, it’s such a shame as it’s got so much potential for a great place to eat with great views.

Be prepared to get involved if you take youngsters here, a bit of energy is required but you will have loads of fun. My grandaughter certainly did, the canteen on site is handy as you can feed the weans and watch as they play from the sidelines.

Really enjoyed my walk in Langlands Moss. I have been back several times now with my dog and it has become one of our favourite walks. Lots of wildlife to be seen if you have a sharp eye and the scenery is quite something. 😊

I moved back to East Kilbride in October and was looking for a gym after having to give up my old CrossFit gym due to the move. The Olympic size swimming pool is brilliant for what I needed and the gym facilities are good but the lack of steam room and sauna has stopped me from becoming a member.

they do wonders for boosting mood and reducing stress and joint pain and made getting out and exercising in the dark winter days a little more bearable but covid has been used as an excuse to keep them off.

Its been 3 years since lockdown other more expensive and further away gyms/pools have reopened the health suites without issue so why wont a community pool? It doesn’t make sense just excuse after excuse. I want to join But wont while its off because I wont get a full use of facilities.

Staff were good, food not a good selection, had to complain about food being cold. Will give it another chance this week.

A fun couple of hours spent here with our son.

LOCATION - in Nerston. As you approach from the north, follow Glasgow Road (the A749) past East Kilbride Golf Course until you reach a roundabout. Take the right exit and follow Stewartfield Way for a quarter of a mile. The soft play is located on the right, inside a sports centre.

LAYOUT - spacious, well equipped and vast. The seating was spread within the middle portion with soft play areas and Birthday pods all around it. Plenty to do and areas allocated to specific age groups. Everything was colourful and fun for the wee fellow!

STAFF - we barely dealt with any but they were dotted around, especially near the slides, and were friendly to speak to.

IMPRESSIONS - many areas offering different levels of excitement. Unfortunately, we picked Sunday from 12-2pm and it was mobbed. By no means a reflection on the business but it was overrun with older children - they dominated most of the sections and anyone between the ages of 0-6 never stood a chance.

COST - relatively inexpensive when considering the fun my son had (and he slept in the car). Priceless haha!

In conclusion, this is a soft play well worth a visit. It offered a lot and kept my son entertained throughout. For me though, it wasn’t as good as Wonder World in Govan. Piece of advice - pick your visit time wisely.

Small park - basically a green area with a path leading up to the memorial. It is very well looked after - as it should be of course. Nice Celtic cross with a list of the deceased from the East Kilbride area. Well worth a visit just for the historical significance
