- Tamara KIndialantic, FL306 contributionsA very worthwhile stop to explore the Mint with Tommy, an entertaining and informative guide. We were able to mint our own coin that day honoring the Royal Lifeboat Heritage Institute with King Charles II on one side of the coin.Written 16 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ann MBristol, United Kingdom20 contributionsThis was a lovely find! We saw the open sign and as it was raining we decided to go in, so glad we did. It is a very interesting little museum with friendly staff, and a cosy tea room downstairs. There is also a film about the town which was very nicely made. We learned loads about the history of Llantrisant. It is right next to the scant remains of the castle too, if you want quick walk around the outside (the castle is fenced of).Written 6 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Neil HMountain Ash, UK16 contributionsI had a pleasant half hour wandering around the art and craft displays. Upstairs are several workshops where craftspeople can be seen and talked to.Written 16 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 923DanSwindon, UK3,009 contributionsWalking through Llantrisant, we happened across the small ruin of Llantrisant Castle, tucked behind the Guild Hall.
You can't enter the ruins on safety grounds, but you can walk around the outside.

Held in the fields adjacent to the pub it was an excellent day of music. The event was so well organised, from the free parking and a short walk to the stage areas, to exit at the end of the day. From 12 to 8pm we were entertained with bands alternating between the two stages. Family friendly and all the people dancing in the area in front of the stages were certainly enjoying themselves. One of our bugbears when attending functions where there are large crowds (over 1000 attended) is the long queues to get food and drink. The organisers had so many friendly and efficient staff that there were never ever any long waiting times for either. (The pub does some great cheese platters so a stall selling them with bottles of wine would be a great add on to next years event). As well there were activities to keep children happy and a number of cultural stores to please the adults (beware adults you could overuse your cards). Long may the festival continue because if we are in Wales in June over the next few years we will put it on our “Must to Do List” A tip get there early to get one of the many benches available or bring chairs/picnic blankets to enjoy the day in comfort.Written 15 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TallTreesCardiff, UK33 contributionsPopped in here with a few friends, it's very clean and tidy and you can see that it has all been freshly painted and renovated. Staff was nice and there was a decent atmosphere. The new owners seem to have made a big difference to the place, we didn't try the food but will next time, but great to have a nice pint of Guinness on tap!Written 31 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The salon is really clean and welcoming and local to me which makes it easy to get to. - CJNetider1 contributionAs a beginner my first impression of the studio is what a welcoming atmosphere! Being far from flexible I felt reassured by the teacher Liz who guided through various poses whilst reaching out to those that needed alternatives. Her positive energy created a space in which I felt relaxed, invigorated and completely grateful for the wonderful experience. Highly recommend this studio with the tip of not being afraid to open up about any limitations you may have.Written 10 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
