- coffeeandbooks23 contributionsReally cool old fort with so many different places to explore . The views are spectacular and the old abandoned buildings are amazing to seeWritten 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BillChicago, IL9 contributionsIf you visit Kinsale, the Kinsale Mead Company is a must-do. The tour starts out with a fascinating history of mead, then a walk through of the distilling process and finally a tasting. You can buy several varieties of mead as well as the honey it’s made from.Written 27 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michele SWest Hartford, CT4 contributionsEven on a stormy day, this is an interesting place to visit. This was not here when I was here in 2002. It is a very needed addition to the area. It allows for views of the unique peninsula of Old Head and gives information on the important historical event of the sinking of the Lusitania. The road to it is a bit narrow, but many roads in Ireland have the same challenge! It is a small museum, but worth the visit.Written 9 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Harry09Doncaster, UK15 contributionsBooked as part of a hen do activity, Ann was absolutely fabulous in our 2 hour workshop, incredibly knowledgable and helpful as well as lovely! We had a great time making plaques, mugs & a lovely touch for Ann to help us make a keepsake too. Would highly recommend if you’re in Kinsale.Written 8 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- roy vTraralgon, Australia4,822 contributionsWalking around the old part of town is a pleasure, we came across this church and in we went .
What a lovely old church with a great history, built on the site of the first church built by St. Multose in the 6 century.
The present church was built in 1190.
This is one of Irelands oldest churches.
It was here that Charles 11 was declared King of England in 1649

There is not much left of the Fort but it is interesting just to see the location and gain an understanding of its purpose.Written 5 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - saul gTel Aviv, Israel1,249 contributionsKinsale tourist information center is located in a beautiful building. Here , you get great helpful attitude and interesting info, with a smiling welcome !!
We have strolled for three hours the small streets of Kinsale. If you are not limited with time (like we were) - you may spend a night here, and enjoy peacefully what this lovely town has to offer.

Brian my caddie was a joy to be with and the vibes could not have been better. Do yourself a favor and eat the sausage wrap at the turn. The overall experience is 10/10. From the clubhouse, to the Proshop, and of course THAT golf course. Worth every penny.Written 9 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christopher NPhoenix, AZ17 contributionsSo sorry to hear you are closed for the season but...
I was able to order Blacks in the restaurants around town. Also found in the grocery stores. So not all was lost. Great beers and the tour is a reason to comeback to Kinsale next year! Keep up the amazing work.Written 19 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We learnt a lot about the various crafts local to Kinsale, plus information about the Lusitania and subsequent inquiry. .The building itself was also impressive. Worth a visit. Particularly of interest was the craftsmanship in the small wooden spiral staircase… an apprentice’s test piece. Eat your heart out IKEA!Written 22 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AndyfyStockport, UK18 contributionsGreat little town. Hurleys Pub a gem. Understated with great food , freshly cooked and it showed. Great value and worth a stop. Local supermarket had Prosecco 30% cheaper than Kinsale.Written 17 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
