- Stuart S4 contributionsWent to see Geniuses Reconnected Jan 20224 and booked food, we arrived early and was let in because it was cold outside, very pleasant and helpful staff, who took us to the bar, the food arrived fresh and hot (good price as well) very chatty and pleasant service, well priced drinks at the bar, and a very good evening enjoyed by all.Written 15 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stephen MBristol, UK177 contributionsGreat location on Torquay seafront. Reasonably priced multi storey car park nearby (on the road towards harbour) friendly staff and nice bars. Camden ale on tap (great)
Good views inside (we were in the stalls) and good acoustics. There for a matinee and tickets very reasonable (less than £20)
All in all a good experienceWritten 19 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RobfromTorquayTorquay, UK39 contributionsA fabulous evening at Torquay’s newest and oldest theatre. A great production of Alan Bennett’s memorable drama, with play’s humanity and humour shining through thanks to the talented group of actors, Not least the three leading players. ( The van deserves special mention too)
The former cinema has been lovingly and successful restored to its original role. Well done all - and here’s to your continuing success.Written 26 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We have enjoyed two excellent visits recently ...Three men in a boat, and Into the breach, and look forward to many more. Its refreshing to have theatre rather than tribute bands
Just dont come expecting a posh interior, rather come and enjoy its antiquity.
There is a bar (drinks can be taken to your seat)and interval drinks can be ordered.
Interval Ice cream is also available.
My only concern is the location of the ticket reading....why this is done on a landing, and not at the auditorium entrance.Having taken the lift to the theatre ,(to avoid the stairs) one is then told to go down stairs to the lower landing to have your ticket scanned, from whence you have to climb stairs back up. WHY ?? Please scan tickets an entrance to the theatre, this way catching both lift and stairs passengers ,Written 1 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah S1 contributionA lovely little art gallery with a wide selection of art and ceramics that are very reasonably priced - it also has a sister branch in Fleet Street. There’s an original range of greetings cards, mugs and bowls if you need something smaller. Delighted to find this in Torquay which is sadly short of cultural spaces like this - it’s also a great way to buy a real original and support artists too. You can also order artists’ work from Artizan online. Will definitely be backWritten 7 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
