Mr. Mohamed was our guide for the tour. He greeted us with a great smile, picked us up and shared detailed insights about the locations we were visiting. He also explained geological formations of the mountains in Oman and showed us the fossils on the mountains’ rocks. Nizwa fort was my favorite, I got to see the rooms of Imam’s and student rooms as well as the castle!!! We had enough time for lunch and the food was fantastic 😃
I went home with Omani Halwa and most important great memories😊

The day trip was amazing. Firstly, our tour guide Khalil is extremely helpful. Even though the weather is not ideal, Khalil helped us to arrange the visit to Jebel Shams in a safe manner. Secondly, Khalil was on time and polite. He was really talkative and willing to share a lot of the Omani culture to us during the trip, which we think fascinating. Lastly, Khalil also recommended us some really good and reasonably priced souvenir at the Nizwa Souq which we can share with our friends. Of course, views at Jebel Shams and the visit in Nizwa Fort were amazing.

In general, I would highly recommend this tour to all of you if you would like to visit these places.

This was great! Ali was our guide. He messaged the night before to confirm pick up. He showed us all the key places and really took his time showing us the sites. Car was nice and air conditioned. Got treated to an unexpected lunch at the owners house! Excellent hospitality. This was a great start to our stay in Oman.

Excellent full day tour with our very friendly and knowledgeable guide Khalfan. The water levels in Wadi Shab were higher than normal after the terrible weather a few days earlier, this made crossing the wadi and swimming through it more challenging than expected, but Khalfan was very helpful and reassuring. The scenery is beautiful from the drive out of Muscat, the Wadi and the sinkhole. Recommended.

Today we visited Wahiba Sands and Wadi Bani Khalid with Maneer as our tour guide for the third time, and it was an unforgettable experience! Maneer’s warm and friendly demeanor made us feel very welcome and relaxed. He is incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating details about the Bedouin culture as we visited a traditional tent and rode camels across the desert. The highlight of our day was definitely the visit to Wadi Bani Khalid, where Maneer led us to the most beautiful swimming spots. His easy-going nature made us feel very comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Maneer to help make our adventure both enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended!

The day started smoothly, my guide, Khaled being on time and ready to guide me through the sands of Oman. He knows everything from geography, history, and local traditions, and this made the trip even more interesting. We passed a small souq where he explained the use of every item and their use in local traditions. We then went to a Bedouin house to chill and enjoy some Omani coffee. There is the option there to go Dune bashing, but I opted out. One can also go for a camel ride there. I opted to go in the Dunes for a photo session and just admire the Nature. Afterwards, we went to Wadi Bani Khaled to cool off. I never felt rushed, and could really take the time to swim and admire the lush vegetation of the Wadi. All in all it was all that I expected from such a tour.

We had a full-day tour to Wahiba Sand Desert to see the dunes and the sunset.

Our guide Amer picked us up from the hotel and he was the star of our tour. He told us about the omani history and culture. He was very knowledgeable, kind and masterful driver in the intense Oman traffic.

The Wahiba Sands desert was simply an amazing experience. Amer took us to a private spot where we had superb views at the western horizon as the sun set in the rose-gold desert. After the sunset we had a dinner together.

We skipped the camel ride (and should have skipped the visit to ”bedouin village” which was as authentic as the snow at the Mall of Oman). However, our reaction was well-read by Amer who swiftly took us to enjoy the desert views and sunset.

Our recommendation is to go directly to the desert - and skip the camel ride and the bedouin village - and enjoy the desert for as long as possible. The silence, gentle desert winds and beautiful sunset are all worth it.

Special thanks to Amer for being an excellent guide - and Sunshine Tours/Star Tours Oman.

Did the city tour with Musa and thoroughly enjoyed it! Having a private tour to explore so many parts of Muscat and have plenty of time to walk and ask questions was wonderful. The sites were beautiful and provided a perfect overview of Muscat.
