Ólafsfjörður Geothermal Pool is our favorite one so far!
It has everything to offer and, of course, the yellow slide is the highlight of it. There is an area for the toddlers, slides for the kids/adults, hot tubs, cold tub, sauna and a large swimming pool. It is ideal for families, couples and athletes.
The sport center is attached to it and is quite complete.
Ólafsfjörður Camping is just by the pool, as well as a large playground for kids.
Be sure to visit Ólafsfjörður Geothermal Pool during the winter as well. It is the most romantic environment and guests have a great view over the town and mountains while relaxing in the hot tubs.

Thank you again for having taken the time with our children of 10 and 6 years old. They were impressed and they have really enjoyed to discover snow Mobil ! Best wishes from France. Very good moment. Thanks for your kindness and generosity.

Excellent experience, The best excursion I've done in Iceland. The tour is operated by a local couple who are truly experts at leading an amazing, unique excursion. Excellent equipment well maintained, focused on safety and creating a memorable experience. They even took pictures and videos for free. We got up close to waterfalls, seals, and whales.

Skiing is a passion for me & I have traveled all over the world to ski. Skiing corn snow on Iceland was on my places I really wanted to go. Not only did the experience not disappoint but Viking as an operator was fantastic. I will share some of what learned / experienced, which I think you would find helpful if you are thinking about going. A lot of great stuff to talk about....

    1) First of all, the terrain : Unfathomably expansive. From really mellow to as gnarly as you want to go (assuming good snow stability). Your guides will work with you to get you into the terrain you desire. Most runs in the range of 2000-3000 vertical feet per run. There are runs you can take from a mountain peak right to the ocean. There are no trees so flat light can be an issue if cloudy. The views and settings are classic high alpine, with lots of glacially carved mountains ... but it is at sea level at the base ... completely unique

    2) The staff & operation : The staff & guides are great. They work together as a team to make sure everyone is having fun. There is no set program per se. They adjust to what the clients want & what the field conditions dictate. It is probably the most flexible heli-ski program I have been on anywhere in the world. The guides are super experienced & do a good job in all aspects - from safety to fun & everything in between.

    3) They fly A-star helis. So that means 4 guests + 1 guide. If you plan on going, you ideal group would be some multiple of 4 (4 8 or 12)
