What travellers are saying
- GrandTour7902586 contributionsExtensive park to roam in - we didn't have time to see it all by any means. Lovely rolling hills - free entry from local village. Interesting to watch people playing polo - not something you see every day. Can't comment on the house as didn't go there.Written 27 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - T BYork, UK1,474 contributionsVery helpful man directing car parking this morning for the Saturday races - a perfect welcome to the racecourse.
Nice to see good concessions for an OAP in our group too (although it would’ve been nice to see an equal concession on his upgrade to premier also).
Facilities were clean, spacious and well organised. Friendly staff throughout with a range of age groups, friends and family enjoying themselves in a relaxed environment.
Some great racing, ooohs and aaahs from the crowd and an tasty, huge hotdog that was as big as its price. Enjoy!Written 11 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went out for a Walk into Town to find a Local Pub & across the road was the Police Station, complete with the Police Box / Dr Who's Tardis standing there. A must see for Fans of Dr Who.Written 14 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LeewatkinsonNew York City, NY16 contributionsGenerally the festival was good. We paid additional charges for the lounge upgrade after experiencing a great weekend last year only to find it had been moved in a valley behind all the food trucks!!!!! Not only didn't we experience the great atmosphere and views of main stage we also saw the sleeping, cleaning and hygiene facility of the staff who made your food in the stalls!!!!

We did have a bit of a difficult time finding the correct location to redeem our voucher for the programme we had purchased ahead of time, but other than that everything was well organized and well laid out. Do purchase parking ahead of time (I somehow overlooked that option when purchasing tickets), but perhaps wait until you get to the site to purchase a programme because you'll pass several programme sales locations that will not accept your voucher, and there isn't any signage telling you were to redeem the voucher. This cost us perhaps 30 minutes after arrival, during which we weren't able to watch the competition. Bring a sizable market bag, and be prepared to shop as you enjoy this wonderful event!Written 29 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - johnhouston2Knaresborough, UK5,449 contributionsOn a lovely warm, sunny afternoon it was a pleasure to come here. Having parked the car in the leisure centre car park we strolled along the along the bank of the river Wharfe, taking in the lovely views, before crossing the pedestrian bridge and looping back into the town centre.
It was all very peaceful, and we enjoyed taking time to sit on a bench to watch people swim in the river or simply have fun walking their dogs.
Really enjoyed it.Written 6 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I feel very fortunate that my path brought me to this place, which I consider a real gift to our area here in Yorkshire. It's too early to say exactly what effect the consultations and massage therapy have had on my autoimmune disease (which doesn't seem to respond well to most experimental treatments that I have tried), but I can say that I come away from every session feeling deeply relaxed and peaceful, after time spent in loving and expert hands. That alone is worth going back for. I feel fairly confident that these treatments are good for my health condition, and I can say with certainty that they are good for the soul! The team is highly knowledgeable and highly skilled, as well as deeply caring.Written 20 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Resort494732049054 contributionsA friend and myself attended one of the "Brewing Experience Days" along with three other people doing the same thing.
We all had a very enjoyable, interesting and informative day and were very well looked after by the friendly team at the brewery.
If you know someone who likes their beer, then a voucher for them to spend a day here would be a great gift for them.Written 30 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
