- Robert M1 contributionFantastic day out with Dave Kelly on Hermit Charters. Dave put us on the fish, we caught 6 different species during the day. Really well equipped and comfortable vessel and the bacon sandwich went down a treat too. We really enjoyed the experience and will definitely go out with Dave again. We were extremely lucky to be the only guests on board..Russ had already said that we could be as involved or not as we preferred. His knowledge and enthusiasm for sailing was infectious. We had a morning of little wind so we thoroughly enjoying pootling along before mooring up in a bay for lunch. The afternoon and more wind meant we actually had a go at sailing the yacht. We felt safe, comfortable and totally at ease for the day. Only wish it had been a longer trip. - Lisa D1 contributionWe had the most amazing time with Solent Rib Charter for our Corporate Day. We were celebrating the company's 21st birthday, with all our staff from around Europe getting together for the first time. We had 13 boats, with 90 people, a treasure hunt around Yarmouth and Cowes and BBQ lunch on the terrace at the Royal Racing Club.
Our lead Skipper, Mike Peters, made sure we had everything we needed and were well taken care of throughout the day.
For a company event, I would thoroughly recommend this. Even the members of our team who were initially nervous had the best time ever, and were asking their skipper to "go faster".
I can't thank Solent Rib Charter enough for such a wonderful day. There were plent of opportunities to help steering, as well as some impromptu dolphin spotting and a chance for a dip in the sea. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. My instructor was Ali who was great from the start, she explained everything very clearly, wasted no time getting on the water and got me out paddling in minutes. Our only reservation is that some of our favourite drivers have apparently been stood down this year. Seeing the same cheery and helpful drivers year on year is part of the whole experience and they have become like friends to us. Come on NFT bring back the oldies and make our year. We booked the Salamander for our micro-wedding mini reception and the team couldn't have made it more special. Everybody had a great time aboard, we got some great photos and shared lots of lovely moments. Having not been on a hike for years I was nervous about an electric bike, Adrian reassured me and with his guided tour my husband and I had the BEST time and we loved it! Nadia was a pleasure to deal with when booking the trip and was so accommodating and got us a great table at The Hut! Mark on the day was lovely, so friendly and professional and kept the drinks flowing! Everything we needed was provided and we all had the best day ever!! We had a sunny day and calm waters, we enjoyed learning the basics, catching some fish, and having some fun. Stuart knows the waters well, and his enjoyment of fishing (and his patience) meant we even managed to catch quite a fe fish as well! The map was useful but could perhaps have a satellite view to help navigate exactly where you are.
