Also known as the Gefion Fountain, this fountain lies close to the Little Mermaid statue. The fountain is over a hundred years ago and features the Norse Goddess Gefion being pulled by oxen.

We found this old and classic fountain to be very pleasing in design. Nice water feature and nicely set aside in a little square toward the center of town. Good place to stop for a moment.

Copenhagen is full of wonderful statues and fountains. Caritasbrønden (Caritas Well) is located on Gammeltorv and is the oldest fountain in Copenhagen, built in 1608. You can’t miss it as you stroll along the Strøget. Worth stopping for a few moments to take in its beauty and history.

Interesting Bull fighting with Dragon from folklore, nicely detailed set in front of the city hall in its main square. It's worth a few minutes of your time for a good look before perhaps a visit to the Clock in the hall or Tivoli.

This fountain was inaugurated in 1910 on a small square with the same name.

The fountain commemorates the square's former use as a fish market.

The cylindrical part is decorated with fish scales and the water jumps from four fish heads.

This striking Caritas Well or Fountain was built in 1608 by Christian IV. It is located on Gammeltorv (Old Market) that is part of the Strøget pedestrian zone.

On the monarch's birthday (currently 16 April for Queen Margrethe II), copper balls covered in 24-carat gold, symbolizing golden apples, are placed in the fountain. The tradition goes back to the 18th century.
