Being completely stuffed at the end of this experience notwithstanding, this was truly eye-opening! This area of Copenhagen surprised us all with its rich history and additionally with the breadth and quality of the culinary work being done and not merely in the usual Danish favorites. To be sure, traditional selections were tasty and substantial. Piled as high as one of their roast beef smorrebrod were the other experiences that Simon arranged for the group which included small batch brewed coffee, lovingly crafted ice cream (and adult beverages with carefully selected mini-ice cream bars), bespoke chocolates, some of the best pizza anywhere (who knew?) and wonderfully eclectic microbrews!
Despite arriving fairly hungry, we were a bit overfull at the end, but how could we refuse any of those treats? Luckily we had a 17-year-old to make sure no slice of that delicious pizza was left behind!
We were very fortunate to have a super fun and adventurous group of co-conspirators, but many thanks to Simon for showcasing what is on offer in the Meat Packing District!
