Definitely recommend the hop on hop off option. Glad I went on it. Some cracking views to be had.

There’s a young lady who was very informative, friendly and helpful.

Dinos, Aspa & their mums all made this holiday one to remember! This is your sign to book in with them ASAP!

We found them via a google search & provisionally booked a couple of things, once we met them we decided to book them for 4 of our 7 days on the island!
We had teenagers & our mother in law with us, so a real range of ages.

Dinos & Aspa treat you like new family members, really bringing you into their beautiful world. They had such knowledge of the island & shared little snippets you just won’t get from the tourist books.

We did the cooking lesson; both mums assisted with this & it was something the whole family got involved in. The food was incredible & the lesson in how to properly drink Ouzo was also a real treat. It was such a feast we couldn’t eat a thing that evening!!
The Petrified Forest; We were taken out & stopped off at a few hidden gems on the journey. We had a very informative visit to the museum, which was so interesting. On the way back Dinos recommended the most amazing place to stop for lunch-all I can say is trust the process! He knows his restaurants!!!
Boat Ride; We were a little early & planned to just have a wander, but when Aspa spotted us she came with us & talked all about the history of Plomari which was a really lovely little ‘extra’ she didn’t need to do, but so appreciated. Dinos took us out & showed us some truly stunning places, stopping off for a dip in the hot springs & shared stories about each cove/beach we passed. Truly magical! His lovely mum sent along some food too, she is an amazing cook! In addition after, we were treated to a visit to the Ouzo factory in Plomari by Aspa-such history & of course ‘Ouzo helps everything’! 😂
Wild Horses; Another lovely road trip, stopping off at some wonderful places. A great walk to the top of the mountain, despite the weather turning on us (our fault for visiting right at the end of the season), we had a fab time & laughed A LOT. Dinos once again pulled a little gem out of his hat & took us to a beautiful little family run farm where we got to pet some rescue animals & meet the lovely owners. (Look up Kariofyllis Eco Farm)

They recommended amazing restaurants local to our hotel in Mitilini too, which were so amazing & in parts we may not have discovered otherwise.

Now to talk my husband out of selling up & moving us all to the island! 😂

I completed the PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses at Lesvos Scuba Oceanic Center. Giannis, Chris, and the whole team were professional, knowledgable, and very welcoming. I had an excellent experience and feel well-prepared as a new scuba diver. The facilities and dive sites were beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Mike knows Lesvos completely! Excellent day tour that exceeded expectations. Highly recommended. The best way to see the island, particularly the lesser known sights!

Always magical. I've been sailing with George and Kostas almost every year since 2019, and each year it keeps getting better. They're incredibly kind, incredibly skilled, always know the best places to go, fun to be around, and cook great food! Whatever day we sail with Alternative Sailing is always our favorite day on our annual trip to Lesvos, and if I were you I wouldn't look anywhere else. They are simply the best.

    Mantamados
On the island of Lesvos, one can visit this miraculous icon at the Byzantine Monastery of the Taxiarchis (Archangel) Michael in the district of Mantamados. This monastery is situated in the northeast part of Lesvos, 36 km from Mytilini. The history of this monastery and the icon are closely connected to the history of the island of Lesvos.

Set in a scenic olive grove and surrounded by pine forest, the Taxiarhis Monastery has been around since 1700. Taxiarhis, the patron saint of Lesbos, is highly respected by the locals, even non-Christians. Pilgrims come to pray and leave offerings, including swords and shoes. The ceremonial robes of Ecumenical Patriarch Gregory V are also found here, as well as Metropolitan Porfyrios’s tomb. The Taxiarhis celebration, which takes place 15 days after Easter, is one of the largest religious events in Greece.
Beautiful experience with a cafe and gift store.
Military regulated base across the street.
It’s a must see on your visit to Mytilini, Lesvos Greece

Conor and Aimee were fantastic! So much so that we came the next day for another session! They were both super friendly and patient with us (also helped to avoid Sea urchins). If you are in Lemnos, going with these guys will ensure you have a great time.

We'll be looking to do our PADI Course with the team next year!

We had a lovely BBQ day trip to rabbit Island. Swimming was lovely (we didn't snorkel) and the highlight was the lunch, freshly prepared by Captain Alex with the most amazing salad from his garden. We only saw 1 rabbit who came for the food put out, but wasn't keen on photos. Went for a walk to the top of the island. Not much to see but great views from the top. All in all a lovely relaxing day.

It was the best motorboat trip we've ever had! Very fast and comfortable rib 300hp boat with amazing staff on board gives you memories for a lifetime. The captain is very proffesional with frendly attitude and a good sense of humour. The colours of Toukmakia islands can take your breathe away... There is no sense in taking boat trip in any other travel agency. Just find 8-10 people at your hotel and don't hesitate to take this fantastic adventure! 🥰 Marina&Janis thank you 🥰

Splendid daytrip in an open jeep across the northern part of the island – but you can choose upfront which part(s) you’d like to see. Amazing views, secluded beaches, hidden gems, great food, wildlife and flora and above all a wonderful and fun host with unending knowledge of the island, the culture and nature. Thanks Sigrid for a excellent day!

Riding with Tito was great! We rode mountain bikes two days together. First day was more cross country oriented on a hardtail. Tito took me through a few progressivly difficult ability tests to feel out my riding skills in the beginning, to determine where we would ride.  We rode around the local hills among olive orchards with terraced walls you could drop in a couple places. Tito knows the local land owners, who allow him to ride on their land. On the way back to town we stopped at a little cantina in the middle of seemingly nowhere, and had a cold beer and peppers to snack on.

The second day was shuttle runs on a full suspension enduro bike! We rode on DH/enduro trails around Mt. Olympos that Tito built and maintains himself. I highly recommend guidance from Tito on these to get the most out of it. So fun!

I just threw my pedals and bike shoes in my suitcase hoping to find some kind of biking on vacation, and Tito really made it happen, and far exceeded my expectations! Just for context here, I'm from the Pacific NW and ride the local trails outside of Seattle at Tiger mountain mostly. Tito's trails are definitely different, but fun just the same. If I visit Lesvos again, I will definitely ride with Tito.

I also recomend the mini-market across the street from the bike shop. Vana was very friendly and helpful getting ahold of Tito since he was across the island on a bike tour.

    - I booked and fully paid surf package (lessons+accomodation - single studio). Upon arriving sigrisurf told me that I booked a shared studio! Though My booking confirmation clearly stated “private single room”. They were pushing me to pay about 1/3 more as accomodated me in a bigger studio (they simply didn’t have a single studio for me) giving hundred reasons why it’s me who have to pay...
I wouldn’t reccomend to book an accomodation with them. Sigri is a tiny village with few tourists, you can easily get a room via locals upon arrival. This will be cheaper by the way.
    + Wsurf course is fine
    - lots of sea urchins

My partner and I had the privilege of arranging two full day trips around Lesvos with Tracey of Follow Your Heart Travel Experiences. Each one was outstanding, tailored to fit in as many of the places we wanted to see as possible, with extra treats and locations added by Tracey with her absolutely expert knowledge and love of the island!

On Day 1 we learned much more about the museums and churches and ruins in Mytilene where we were staying, and met lots of Tracey's wonderful friends and their businesses. We then visited the aqueduct at Moria, and the top of Mount Olympus (driving up some unfenced gravel tracks that were a bit like something from a Hitchcock movie, teeth-clenchingly close to the edge, but Tracey had nerves of steel and more importantly, a lot of experience driving!) We drove to Agiassos and ate in town, as well as visiting an ancient chapel.

Everything was picture perfect and beyond exceptional, and would highly recommend it to one and all!

Day 2 we visited the Mandamados Monastery to see the Icon, with some incredibly scenic fishing village stops along the way, with lunch, then were treated to a visit to Kariofyllis Ecofarm, where we were able to get close and stroke deer and a stag, goats, dogs, cats, horses, a donkey, bunnies, birds (many rescues are taken in there) and we learned a lot about it! Very special experience that we definitely wouldn't have found out about ourselves without this tour, and we'll definitely go back! We also visited pottery artisans and an olive wood workshop and shop, learning about craft on Lesvos.

The day concluded with a trip to beautiful Molyvos, and a meander through the vine-ceilinged cobbled streets of the old town, with drinks overlooking a spectacular bay view from up the hill. Driving back, Tracey toured us through Petra too.

At every point she was a fountain of information, as well as being a truly wonderful, kind, generous, thoughtful, wise, compassionate, and fascinating person, with brilliant tales to share and incredible attentiveness to her guests and to her friends on the island.

We were driven to each location in an air-conditioned car, essential during the heatwave! And Tracey was so well-prepared with fresh fruit and veg snacks she had made and gallons of water in a coolbox, despite the intention of stopping in towns to eat!

We have done lots of day tours in various countries because we can't drive ourselves, so for places that are hard to access by public transport it makes more sense to get a guide, and it's always interesting to see how differently people approach this - but Tracey stands out easily by a million miles as the best we have ever had and the nicest person we've met.

Thank you so much Tracey, we can't wait to go back and we hope to see you next year!
