- macedonboyGlasgow, UK1,86,307 contributionsThis monument was raised to the glorious memory of the servicemen from Redenhall, Harleston and Wortwell who fought and died in the two world wars. The monument is set on a tapering plinth inscribed with the roll of honour. Surmounting the plinth is a Celtic cross decorated with the conventional intertwined Celtic knots. Unusually for a war memorial, the cross also has reliefs of animals in the Celtic style. There is also a special panel on Henry Ward who was awarded the Victoria Cross for his gallant conduct during the Indian Mutiny of 1857.Written 12 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
