Our guide Luis was wonderful. He was kind, very knowledgeable, and communicated the day's plans clearly. He provided lots of history and tid bits of information both during the excursions and on between during the van rides.
The suspension bridge offered a bit of a thrill and definitely beautiful views over a river. If you are scared of heights, this portion will be a challenge you. Also, if you are bringing children close to the age of 6 you will need to prove that they are 6+ with some form of ID in order for them to cross the bridge.
The Paiva Walkway downward offered different vantage points of the suspension bridge, river, and surrounding mountains. Really beautiful. And the 5k walk (usually 7k but the last 2k was closed during our visit) takes you along the river and allows you to admire the mountain side, trees, and flowers up close. We ended wearing our 6 and 7 y.o. kiddos on our backs for the last 1k or so, as they started losing pace with the rest of the group.
The boat ride along the canals in Aveiro is a relaxing break after the long walk on Paiva, and is an informative experience around the history of the towns architecture, salt trade history, etc.
Costa Nova is a quick stop before you head home, with beautiful brightly colored houses, and some history about the fishing village.
All around a wonderful tour, especially with Luis.

    What a superb experience.
We shared this private yacht with approx 10 other people.
No blaring music and loud commentary.
An idyllic way to sail along the Douro soaking up the wonderful architecture along the way.
The captain and his assistant looked after us through out.
    Welcome drink & snacks provided.
What a fabulous way to spend an afternoon.
    Highly recommend to those visiting.

Had a lovely day, really great to see the surrounding area beyond the city. We were well looked after throughout, the lunch up in the village was well worth it too. Great play list while travelling!!

I booked this tour for the tail end of my visit to Porto in the hopes of enjoying some time outside of the city. Our tour guide, Nuno went above and beyond. He was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and down to earth. I really enjoyed the kayaking and waterfall, and also appreciated the historic tour of a local village within the park. The lunch provided (and Vihno Verde) were absolutely amazing. I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone who loves the outdoors and is looking for some time in nature.

Geres national park tour was a very good experience. Our guide Tomas Bessa Sciacca was really good with sense of humour and good language skills. Excellent views and swimming. Weather was nice and also lunch was good. I recommend.

Miguel was amazing! Very personable and willing to take you anywhere in the city/area. The jeep had an open side canopy and top. Our 7 year old loved it and Miguel was very patient with him and catered a lot to him as well. Miguel showed us the famous sights and places and also asked if we wanted to go anywhere we knew of. He booked a table for us for lunch and dropped us to the restaurant and waited until we were seated before leaving us. He gave us many recommendations for food and things to do in Porto as well. I would highly recommend the tour with Miguel! Obrigado Miguel

This was by far the highlight of our trip to Porto. We were picked up promptly by our driver Luis, who was fantastic throughout the trip. After a quick stop for coffee and pastries we drove to the Douro valley along some fantastic roads with excellent scenery, and visited the first vineyard for a tour and wine tasting. After some wonderful port and wine, we proceeded to the town of Pinhão to our next wine tasting, with lovely scenery of the Douro river. Then it was time for lunch - one of us was gluten free and they were able to accommodate this with ease. Finally we headed to the last vineyard for a tour and talk about port/wine and olive oil production, with tastings of both, then back to Porto. Our group had 6 people in it - some were doing a boat tour in lieu of the second wine tasting, but we opted for more wine! We had a wonderful time, and would highly recommend this tour!

We did a Porto Buggy Adventure tour on the first day of our week-long trip to Porto and really enjoyed it as a unique way to see the countryside surrounding Porto. We particularly enjoyed the built-out ATV tracks on the tour and the different terrain (forest, rock crawling, etc.). Thrill level will likely be influenced by the other drivers in your group and your guide, but we found the tour to be super high-energy and fun. You will definitely want to bring or buy a face mask (they have a face cover available for purchase on-site) so you don't end up getting dust in your mouth!

Our tour of Lisbon with Paulo was fantastic. He shared fascinating and detailed stories about the city without ever being boring. Paulo has a very engaging personality and was eager to answer all our questions. We enjoyed a wonderful walking tour through Lisbon, including a delightful break with espresso and Pastel de Nata. I highly recommend this walking tour to everyone.

We took the tour with Pedro on a very hot day, so that might influence my review ;) we had a great time but some things we didn’t know from the description or reviews, so here it goes for a better understanding of the tour 😊 apparently, Pedro changes it up a bit in different seasons etc.

First up, Pedro is one of the most attentive tour guides out there and really loves the area, the national park and the people there. It was great having him as a guide!

The transfer is 2h of driving time each way with two stops each way (one scenic, and one the cafe/refueling). Our group was quite chill and had no appointments (which Pedro asked about beforehand) and so somehow the tour ended up being way longer, and we got back at 10.30pm, with Pedro dropping people off close to their lodgings.

The first half of the tour is very basic hiking with not much elevation and a nice view, before you get to the waterfalls and pools where you can take a break and swim (that’s about 2h of walking with pauses for interesting info about the area). The water is pretty cold, which was great on the hot day!

After that, Pedro asks the group if they want to go back the same way or continue on and loop around another mountain. (I think he said, the group could also split up with people going back the easy way on their own). If you choose the loop, is where the going gets tough, there are multiple pretty steep parts with a big incline at the end. It’s no joke if you’re not fit. But the most annoying part was the thorns that people have mentioned before, it’s different kinds but one that comes up often for example is blackberry bushes, so it does scratch you up good/will rip less sturdy clothing. There is another lagoon/pool situation on that route and the vistas are a bit different, so my friends and I are divided on if that makes the second half worth it. The second half was around 2.5h of hiking, plus the second break.

Sadly, we didn’t see any of the animals that could’ve been there but that’s nature! The fauna is pretty interesting with a lot of rock formations and ferns with a lot of cute little flowers. You get pretty scenic views as you’re high up from the beginning.

    So, all in all:
    - expect an actual hike if you do the big loop.
    - wear long, sturdy pants bc of the thorns
    - definitely wear at least sneakers with some grip
    - bring a water bottle - there are a few spots to refill them with mountain spring water, which is awesome!
    - And pack enough snacks and food for a really long day

Our tour was amazing! Nuno drove my wife and I around all day to the best viewpoints in the area, as well as two wineries and a boat tour in Pinhao. He was a wealth of knowledge (and spoke perfect english) and told us all about wine making in the Douro Valley and all about the region. He was also able to answer the million questions we had. The roads in the Douro are pretty crazy so there is no way we would have been able to visit half the places we went without him driving. He grew up in a little town in the valley and has been driving the roads his whole life which made us feel comfortable with the tour. We drove through a vineyard, visited many beautiful viewpoints, and then had lunch at a very small winery in a little village with a large spread of traditional portugese foods. The food was wonderful and the lunch was very relaxing in shaded patio area. The second winery was slightly larger and had a more extensive tour and another great tasting, this time with vineyard views. We HIGHLY recomend this tour. Don't think twice, just book it!
