We decided to just visit the park and not the museum, so I can't comment on the indoor displays, but we did enjoy the gardens. They are large, and undulating, but much is in the shade which was great for a very hot day. There is a rather charming grotto built around a pond with a huge number of frogs in it, some croaking noisily. The farm was peaceful and we enjoyed spotting egrets there. Some of the gardens are rather neglected, but there are signs to say that they are being rejuvenated - it must be a difficult job on very dry soil. There were some excellent information boards which gave the history of the place and were worth reading. We were disappointed that the tea garden was closed, as we were unsure that we could access the restaurant - there was nothing at the entrance or on the website that we could see to explain this. Ticketing could be far better explained - it's not clear what you are getting for your money, although to be fair I heard the counter assistants trying to help. Unfortunately that makes for longer queues than are necessary.

Be aware that there are major roadworks going on in the area to improve the transport system - it will be good when they are finished, but we had decided to walk up from the Metro and it made the walk dusty and tedious.

It is in the building of the “Alfandega Nova do Porto”, that you can visit the “Museum of the Presidency of the Republic”, in partnership with the Museum of Transport and Communications, it offers the public the possibility of visiting the permanent museum nucleus «The engine of the Republic — the cars of the Presidents», in Porto Customs. In an area of the building rehabilitated for this purpose, you are able to see one of the most important collections of cars in the country: those that, throughout the century-old Republic, were in the service of the Presidents., this around three thematic areas — «From the hippomobile to the pioneers», «The Estado Novo and state vehicles» and «The democratization of presidential vehicles» —, which allow us to explore some of the most memorable moments in history of the Portuguese Republic, but also get to know the evolution of means of transport: from the carriages and landaus of the late 19th century, which were still used during the 1st Republic, to the top-of-the-range motorized models from the 2000s.
The opening hours from the museum is from Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00 - Saturday, Sunday and holidays, from 3pm to 7pm.
To park the car the best option is to drive into the underground car park SABA, located into the “Rua do Infante D.Henrique – nº 81” in Porto, here you are at approximately 500 meters from the museum, and in front of it you have also the museum “World of Discoveries”.

It used to be a convent but now is the major city library. A big white stucco building set on a very pretty park, worth seeing.

On the way to Sao Francisco so we stopped in briefly to gain more insight into Port. Large panels cover the industry from grape to bottle.

We did not do any tastings or purchases here.

The signage is correct...your tour of Douro starts here

This place was full of locals and had a very quiet/laid back vibe. I almost felt bad being there as a tourist. I stopped in for just a quick beer and observed locals having 'seemingly' intellectual conversations. The lady who served me was very friendly. Better for small groups.

This is a review for the modern looking Porto Information office close to Sao Bento Train Station. This is a nice, modern office with glass doors and a large entry way you walk through before you walk up some steps to speak to the workers. The woman we spoke with was on the far left who recommended Taxis Invicta for taxi service. I am writing this to tell you DO NOT USE TAXIS INVICTA. They have terrible reviews for being rude, threatening and unreliable and I can confirm the same.

A small badly organised and run lounge. Cold buffet food, not enough staff, buffet in the middle of the room, there is space to move it into another part. No announcement that your flight was boarding, our flight was late in.
On the third floor out of security turn left before passport control. Sadly it would of been better to stay on the main floor.
