    Old World charm
    Since it was ‘off season’ the trams were not packed. Did 3 loops, Agree it is the best way to see the steep and narrow streets of Alfama. Amazing to observe how the trams, buses, cars, tuk tuks and man survive on the narrow streets.
    Hold on tight if you dont want spine jarring sudden stops

    When was the last time public transportation made you happy…?
    You are simply gonna love these charming tram lines that cross Lisbon in all directions. They are efficient, inexpensive and comfortable.

    In Metro stations you can buy a 24 hour ticket (€6.40) that covers a day in the metro, the trams and the elevadors in Lisbon. That’s a bargain.

    Good fun!
    Not expensive and you can buy a combined ticket with the Oceanaria (next door). Nice views over the water and of a long bridge!

    The Gloria funicular is the easy way to excellent views over the castle and the cathedral
    The Gloria funicular (elevador) is a charming rebuilt tram that is now retired and takes passengers on 2 minute rides up and down one of Lisbon’s many steep hills.

    On top of the hill you’ll get to Miradouro Sao Pedro that offers fine views to the castle, the cathedral and other picturesque parts of Lisbon.

    Very nice spot on the top
    I will leave a review even if we didn't pay for a ride, we just walked to the top so we can wait for the tram and take pictures with it. I have no idea how much do you have to wait for the tram to get up if you don't find it there when you arrive, because when we got up, it was already there. The driver gives you a good couple of minutes to take photos with the tram before heading back down. We loved the spot and I think it's a total must if you ever get to see Lisbon! I don't know if paying for the trip is worth it, but if you are walking through the Bairro Alto neighbourhood, you have to go to the top for some very nice photos :)

    Metropolitano De Lisboa …..
    A very seamless but quick use of Lisbon’s underground system. Upon arriving at Lisbon airport, the Metro was easy to navigate and at no time did we feel lost or confused.

    The maps were similar to those used in London and the ticket machines offered English as a language. Fairly simple to use. We made one change en route with no delays to our connection.

    Around an hour or so after leaving the airport, we were sat drinking ‘Super Bock’ ahead of a long weekend stay. Overall, very satisfied.

    Great experience
    We had a great experience with Aman from Toptour Portugal! The street near our Hostel was closed. Aman made sure to let us know the new pick up location a day in advance. We had a great service, would definitely book here again.

    Historic Transportation
    The trams in Lisbon are historic, but also practical, especially this line which takes you to some places you need to go to. Not the tourist line. But the ride is great fun.

    Good Public Transit System Here
    It's a good public transit system and we used a lot of it. If you add a bunch of Euros to your Via Viagem card you get very cheap rides on all systems. Frequent service. Only negative is the omnipresent staircases in the Metro and malfunctioning elevators and escalators.

    Save your legs
    Save your legs and use the funicular to get up the steep hills. Short ride, but well worth it. Recommended.

    My new sister in lisbon
    When you are with margarida, you are family. Of course you appreciate professionalism, but she goes extra miles to make sure you are ok.
    I booked a peculiar transfer option picking us up, a visit to pena palace and then to the airport.
    She made sure we are at the proper check in station, which is great since its our first time navigating the airport.

    Two thumbs up!

    Pretty easy to navigate
    We found the transport system pretty easy to navigate, using the Metro, CP Trains, Trams, and of course the TukTuks.

    Don't purchase train tickets from Rail Ninja, they are thieves!
    Never buy train tickets through Rail Ninja, they are thieves! They charged me 86 Euros for a ticket Porto-Lisbon. My friend paid 37 Euros the next morning at the train station for the same train ticket. If you don't want to get ripped off, buy tickets from a different provider, Comboios de Portugal's website or directly at the train station.

    Amazing
    Oliver was our tuk tuk driver and we had a blast! Oliver was so friendly and knowledgeable about Lisbon’s history. He gave us so many amazing recommendations of sites and restaurants to check out! We also felt very safe driving around with Oliver. Thank you so much to Tuk Dreams and Oliver for a fun experience!

    Ferry Station
    This station is for the ferry that takes you across the river to the neighborhoods on the other side. There are bus link-ups there, so these ferries are important commuter routes, and thus lots of people pass through this station quickly. Some basic services here.
