- Leonard KWashington DC, DC380 contributionsFirst of all, Nuno (our guide...) was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He quickly adjusted his standard tour to our particular interests. Also, he made our tour memorable despite the surprise showers that erupted during our tour. (He ran out and got soaked to get our clear plastic roll-down flaps down quickly...and would then put them up again when the rain ended:)
Lastly, he knew the history of Lisbon, but also details that only a local who grew up there would know.

The night was so well organized, with fantastic hosts who kept the energy up and made sure everyone had a good time. DANIEL AND ELISA were the best guides ever. The mix of bars was perfect, and the drink deals were unbeatable. Great way to meet new people and experience the city like a local. Nuno is a fantastic guide who considers and accommodates all in the group - not an easy feat in our case as we ranged from 6 to 60! He is super knowledgeable and knows how to keep everyone's attention. He also plays beautiful music that adds to the atmosphere. The first bonus was being picked up near my B&B, so I did not have to search for or travel to the location! Then, the first highlight was a walk through the gardens to Pena Palace. It was misty and so romantic with mist drifting through the trees. A feast for all senses. Of course, Pena Palace is a must-see. Very special history and place. We had enough free time to have lunch and explore in Sintra. Then, visits to Cabo da Roca and Cascais and a sunset drive along the coast and Tagus back home. Thank you to Nuno for a day to remember and readers: Don't hesitate! Book this tour NOW. You will not regret it! Tips: Wear comfortable shoes, but you need not be super fit. Also go, irrespective of the weather and relax - you will have enough time to eat, shop and explore.
