    We researched our trip by going through TripAdvisor reviews and also watching many travel shows about Lisbon… I wish we had done this tour our first day in Lisbon, but still it was a good experience
    The tour is five stops of the traditional authentic places for the genuine article food that one expect to find in Lisbon. We were very happy with the choices presented on the tour. They matched up very well with a lot of the travel shows we watched… Our guide was very knowledgeable And prepared. There were two groups doing the same tour and they coordinated very nicely. We were able to walk into an establishment, be served or have the experience and then switch off with the other group. It was very well done.

    Awesome wine boat trip
    It was a sunset boat trip with wine and couldn’t be more happier to go despite the weather change at the end of the trip. The stuff, Juan and Bernie were amazing and managed to give us a private boat for all of us at the end. Lovely experience with unlimited wine!

    Highly Recommend!
    We did the 17 Tastings food tour in Lisbon in December 2022. I had a fantastic time on this tour! Baptiste was a wonderful tour guide. He shared a lot of interesting information about the city and its history. The food was delicious, and there was a lot of variety. The tour was well-paced so I never felt too full with all the samples. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

    Excellent Tour Guide,great food and drink pairing, good recommendations
    Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Frederick, was wonderfully passionate about Lisbon, a born and bred local. He was informative and very knowledgeable. His interaction with the tour group was brilliant, he related to everyone and it ended up being a great group that chatted heaps. The places we went to and the stories Fred told gave us a real insight into the city, it's history and the people. Of course the food choices were also brilliant, and pairing the food with various local wines and beers was a really good way to highlight local products. We went back to one of the eateries the next day for lunch and plan to go to one of the recommended restaurants for dinner tonight.
    Thanks Fred, you are amazing. 👏

    Great tasting with amazing host!
    Thanks for the great wine tasting. Andre is an amazing host who made us feel comfortable and very welcome. We learned a lot about Portuguese wines and also rely liked the food. We would definitely recommend this wine tasting to others.

    Great addition to our Lisbon travel experience!
    This class was so much fun! The chef does an amazing job of keeping everyone involved in the preparation of the dishes, while teaching at the same time. All of the dishes were prepared so that we were able to sit down for the meal together. It was so much fun meeting fellow travelers. I would highly recommend this as an event in your itinerary!

    Great tour company, Portugal
    Sonia took 2 of us on a private tour of Evora and surrounding areas. She was extremely knowledgeable providing us with history lessons, wonderful restaurant location and a terrific tour is majolica production. Would highly recommend this company. Our only disappointment was that we ran out of time for the cork area...next time.

    BEST tour in Lisboa!
    We are so happy with this unique and wonderful tour!

    Even though it was dumping rain the whole time, we had such a fabulous adventure walking through the streets of Alfama. Out tour guide was sincerely the best, she made walking in the rain so much fun! Each restaurant that was selected was sincerely so quaint and everything tasted SO GOOD! It was the perfect tour with just 6 people. We would highly recommend this tour.

    Nidia and this tour are a must!
    What a great way to learn about the wine in Portugal! We met our guide, Nidia, in the morning when she came to pick us up at our hotel and she was so fun and full of energy. She carefully curated our day so that we could not only taste some great wine, but see more of the culture and history of the area. She took us on a gorgeous scenic route to get to the wineries and taught us about the cork industry Portugal is so well-known for. We did the three winery option and ended up doing two tours, having an authentic Portuguese lunch, stopping at a very cool tile factory to see the artists at work, and ending with a final stop at another space where we did a third tasting of many wines from the region. It was a fun day with a lot of laughs and even more wine! Nidia was a fantastic guide and really wanted to make sure we had a great day. She even took pictures along the way which she sent along later along with a detailed description of the places we visited. Highly recommend!

    Wherever I travel, a food tour is a must, and I am glad I went on this tour. Our guide, Antonio, was excellent! He was warm, easy-going and very informative. I would recommend this company and Antonio wholeheartedly!!

    Fun, Facts, and Lots and Lots of Food!
    From the beginning of the tour, when our delightful and knowledgable guide, Ines, sat us down in a cafe and gave us a fascinating culinary history of Portugal over pastries and coffee to the two lunches we shared at two distinctly different off-the-beaten-path restaurants, to the tour of a local market and the ample little stops for small bites and drinks along the way, the tour was jam-packed with fun, facts, and lots and lots of food. I had such a delicious time and learned a ton. Will definitely explore other cities with Culinary Backstreets in the future!

    Unforgettable experience
    Amazing experience! This hands-on cooking class was a lot of fun.

    I enjoyed being able to make Pasteis de Nata from scratch. The recipe is easy to follow, and is provided at the end of the class so I’ll be able to bake them at home.
