Based over 3/4 levels with 20+ platforms this is a very large station. Some of the central archetecture is beautiful. Easy to get around as well sign posted as I had to change from platform 22 to 3

This museum was incredible. You must go if in Antwerp. I visited with my ‘grown up’ daughters. We spent 1-2 hours in the museum and would definitely return.

With all the twinkly lights this is truly a magical square. Setting up for Christmas but before the busyness of the Christmas market. I loved it.

Stunning cathedral inside and out. Very photogenic with its lighting at night. Inside it was lovely to wander around and sit and take in all of the windows, the ceiling and the carved pulpit. Lots of paintings by Ruben’s too

I had a great time at the Museum aan de Stroom. It is a beautiful building with a fantastic view of the city. The museum has an interesting collection of objects and stories that show the history and culture of Antwerp. I learned a lot about the port, migration, art and the diversity of this city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this museum for anyone visiting Antwerp.

Recently, I visited the Red Star Line Museum and came away extremely impressed. The museum tells the story of the millions of people who emigrated to America on Red Star Line ships in search of a better life. The museum is located in the restored buildings where passengers were screened and prepared for their journey. You will see many personal stories, photographs, documents and objects that testify to the hopes, dreams and challenges of the emigrants. The museum is very engaging and moving, and it gives you a new perspective on migration and identity.

The only downside I can think of is that the cafeteria has been closed since the Covid restrictions. Apparently they haven't found anyone willing to run a cafeteria since then. That's a shame, because it would be nice to have something to drink or eat in a comfortable place after a visit. But that doesn't detract from the quality of the museum itself, which is definitely worth a visit. I recommend it to anyone interested in history, culture and humanity.

This is an excellent museum with appeal to chocoholics of all ages! We were impressed from the very beginning when we were directed to an area with lockers where we could leave coats, hats, umbrellas etc. and proceed to enjoy the museum unencumbered by winter outdoor-wear. This was a high-tech museum full of interest and we can honestly say that there was not one part that was remotely boring. It was organised in such a way that each section was never crowded and it was possible to experience everything including the wonderful chocolate tasting. Having agreed that we had already bought enough Belgian chocolate on our trip and we would not need to spend much time in the shop, we couldn’t resist buying more to add to our chocolate collection which we are still enjoying now that we are home.

We have visited a few breweries on city breaks, and I think this was the most relaxed and informative. You can drink a beer when strolling through the brewery and then relax in the onside bar afterwards. 16e for the tour and 2 small beers included. Nice sandwiches in the bar and resonably priced. A sampling board of cheese and dried meats would been a nice addition while tasting the beers. Excellent tour, we really enjoyed it 😀

If you're used to sprawling North American zoos, like the Bronx, the Toronto, and the San Diego, you might be surprised by how compact Zoo Antwerpen is. There's plenty to see, however, from elephants and giraffes to meerkats and penguins, and the setting is beautiful. Definitely hours well spent.
