Of course the showpiece is The Girl with the Pearl Earring by Vermeer, but there are a couple more Vermeer pieces, and several by Rembrandt, including his famous Anatomy Lesson with Dr. Tulip. Everything in the museum was painted before 1750, I believe, and so if you are interested in that type of work, this is a great place to see it. Not nearly as busy as the Rijksmuseum!

We spent about 60 to 90 minutes here, and it was excellent. A huge variety of Escher work, along with some other artists sprinkled in who are similar to Escher. Also, because the museum is at the palace, there are beautiful rooms and chandeliers that you will get to see as well. One of the favorite things we did in The Hague.

We visited Madurodam and had a lot of fun, the miniatures were informative, educational and extremely detailed. Top quality even on some of the older models.

History of automobile with an amazing collection of cars AND countless other memorabilia related to them. Thought my teenage son and I would spend about 1 hour. Ended up spending more like 2.5. Don’t miss if you are even a mild enthusiast.

Have to admit we had not heard of this before our visit but so glad we visited. The museum costs 16 euros per adult and there are some wonderful paintings to see.

The panorama itself is spectacular, so beautifully detailed - I've never seen anything like it. I only took 3 photos of it and they just don't do it justice - check it out for yourselves.

I have been to the Kunstmuseum many times and it is always interesting and enjoyable. They have great temporary exhibitions and most of the written elements are usually in both Dutch and English. The Art Deco building itself is lovely.
There is a permanent exhibition aimed at children/families and the exhibitions often have a treasure hunt or similar activity for children.

We stopped here during our trip to The Hague, and it was fun to take pictures outside and admire the beautiful palace, as well as the eternal flame outside with the rocks from every country. Buses can wait for a maximum of 10 minutes right outside the palace, which is very convenient.

Binnenhof is the Dutch government building. In front of a small pond, it is an impressive landscape in Den Haag. More interested visitors can join a guided tour to get in the huge structure.

So it was end of September when I visited so not too many people about. However, it was still nice to walk out on the Pier to view the sea, the beach and the ferris wheel. Lots of places to eat and drink. Imagine it gets very busy during the summer months. Tram # 1 will take you there from the city and I got off at the Kurhaus stop.

Very easy to get here from Amsterdam and great for people who love to take public transport and trains/trams. It is a lovely scene change from Amsterdam and the fresh sea air is magical. Lots of restaurants along the seaside...take note they each compete with music - which is far too loud - and drowns out the ocean sound.

Clingendael is possibly one of the most beautiful estates in the Netherlands. The 16th century traditional manor and its surrounding gardens make for a gorgeous destination. Clingendael refers to valley between (in) the dunes. And what an amazing valley it is with the landscaped gardens and the lush undisturbed natural forest areas. The Japanese Garden happens to be the best and most delicate sections of this place.
