What travellers are saying
- Paul JUnited Kingdom7 contributionsExcellent restaurant on the seventh floor of the library with stunning views of Amsterdam.
Great selection of food from pizza, burgers, salad and various other yummy delights.
Very peaceful place to relax over a coffee or eat a nice lunch with a couple of drinks.
Approximately 10 minutes walk from Amsterdam Central Station.
I'd highly recommend you seek this place out.Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of food options but it felt too crowded and noisy.Written 24 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I visited at special theme, during 3 days, finding that easiest way was to choose metro line towards Europaplein, and walk from there. When you choose right exit you'll be at the front of entrances. As it was (not yet) any hot summer (peak) seasons, they used plenty of warming/heating equipments inside. It was still comfortable climate inside.Written 7 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Harrison F. CarterAuckland, New Zealand12,854 contributionsYet another wonderful looking building along the beautifully completed Damrak. This main entry point in to the city has been so wonderfully restored. Looks so good.Written 9 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Matkaaja-MattTurku, Finland31 contributionsWe went there for dinner quite late, the kitchen was closing in 20 minutes. We were recommended to order two portions each and that seemed to be a good choice. Portions were small but together they formed a descent meal. There is also vegan options which was nice. However the dessert was kind of a disappointment. We chose a sticky toffee cake. The sides (ice cream and caramel sauce) were good but the cake itself was extremly dry and even the good amount of sauce couldn’t save it. Service was excellent and friendly. Space was large and therefore quite loud.Written 1 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Chrizzle (she/they)Aachen, Germany10 contributionsPink point is a wonderful place to shop anything pride related, cold drinks and more! The staff is friendly and helpful (pink point also is a LGBTQ+ information point in amsterdam). It’s a place loaded with queer history, right next to the homomonument of amsterdam. You can buy your pride flags, pins, and also postcards :) 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈Written 23 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LWL3333Wellington, FL17,961 contributionsTo me it seems unfortunate that only two ceilings are available for viewing to the public, while the rest of this large house is private offices. Those two ceilings are extravagently painted and worth seeing if you are in the neighborhood anyway-- the Rembrandt House is just up the street--but I would not go out of my way to find it. A woman on the ground floor welcomed us and gave us 5 minutes in English about the history of the house and the meanings of the ceilings. The colors have remained remarkably brilliant now, over 300 years after they were painted. Our entire visit lasted less than 15 minutes.Written 2 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Liege-Bastogne-LiegeZurich, Switzerland446 contributionswacky, wonderful, fun. I was here for a global competition, buzzing with a few hundred passionate and fun university students taking part in a global competition. The venue was ideal for that.
It's slightly offbeat, a great theatre apace with meeting and networking rooms to he side, above and below in a building with an eminent history, right in the heart of the City.
I hold very happy memories of the event, the people I met, the Theatre in particular and of the neighborhood. A wonderful day.Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bas kAmstelveen, The Netherlands32,825 contributionsThe World Fashion Centre Amsterdam on Koningin Wilheminaplein is a commercial centre for importers/dealers in budget garments.Don't expect the glamourous name to be reflected in the quality of the items of clothing for sale here for low prices.
Koningin Wilhelmina is represented by a large concrete sculpture in front of the centre.
The area has a small public park at -Heemstedestraat Metro Stop- offering 2 English style flower- borders maintained by local residents.
Recent building activities have made the area an upmarked residential area.Written 23 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is great for running, walking or biking and there are plenty of food and beverage options in and around the park.Written 6 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JSolitudeOstend, Belgium1,075 contributionsI travelled all the way from Belgium to Amsterdam for the Stephan Bodzin gig on 7th November 2021 and overall it was a nice 1st-time experience visiting 'The Marktkantine'.
This is a well-managed club, there was strict Covid Pass control at the entrance (which I highly support) and a strip search.
The atmosphere in the club felt very safe due to all the applied safety measures.
I especially liked the different levels in the venue so you can either enjoy a gig closely from the pit or have a more relaxed stance on the balcony.
Impressive sound system and sparse but efficiently used light gear.
The only downside of the Stephan Bodzin gig was the overwhelming amount of decibels produced and noticeable distortion at times.
i would certainly not recommend standing in the pit or even further back without ear protection. Aside from this small negative, a highly recommendable club.Written 13 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
