Campanile di Giotto was constructed in the 14th century. The person responsible for its building was the artist Giotto whose name the tower bears. It's a beautiful building and the views from the top are absolutely wonderful, provided you can climb the 414 steps up the tower and then go down the same way! It's much easier than it might sound!

Going up the several hundred steps inside the Dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is an obligatory visit when in Florence. It is an amazing work of art and architecture. Its creator was a man called Brunelleschi who came up with this half "egg-shaped" idea for the dome. The steps inside are quite steep but not impossible, unless you are claustrophobic! The views of the dome and the interior of the building are fantastic. The nice surprise is at the very top when you emerge and you have a stunning panoramic view of the city!

We stumbled upon this while walking through Florence. We watched the game where the former players get to go out for one game.
It was so much fun. Something so different than American sports and it was great to see the pride each person had for their neighborhood!!
If this even is happening while in Florence, you MUST go!

Our tour was the best part of our Florence trip. We got to see another side of Florence that we never saw before on previous visits. I highly recommend doing this PRIVATE ESSENTIAL TOUR with WALKABOUT TOURS.

Two really solid rooms, perfect level of challenge for the two of us who have done lots of escape rooms before. The staff were really friendly and clearly loved escape rooms themselves so was great chatting to them before and after. Definitely recommend 👍🏻

This is such a fun/unique activity to do if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city! However If you or someone in your party don’t have some motorcycle or driving experience this is not the tour for you! Dejan who was leading the Vespa tour was the absolute best! Hilarious and such a fun time. Afterwards Luca gave a tour of a family owned winery. It was such a fun experience and was the highlight of our vacation!

We had a wonderful time scooting through the Tuscan countryside with Filippo & Alessio. They were so helpful with booking (and rescheduling!) our Vespa tour. They also arranged private transfer to & from our apartment. The scooters were first class. They were very patient with us as first-time drivers with several practice laps around the car park before we took off. Ben our leader was awesome! He did a great job of keeping up with our group, stopping to show us the spectacular views of the countryside and share some history of the vineyards and villas. Grape harvest was in full swing which added to the experience. And to put a grand finish to our tour, a delicious lunch outside at a family-owned vineyard and winery. We took home some fantastic wine and olive oil produced by the family! Thanks Filippo & Alessio for making our Vespa Tour one we won’t forget.

Andrea was wonderful. He was so helpful in creating the itinerary and had such great advice. The vehicle was spotless and comfortable. Best of all, he scored us the most amazing reservation overlooking the sea.

Can't say enough about this bike tour and the team! Beautiful views, excellent guides and high touch attention to fun, safety and comfort. Gorgeous bike ride route followed by lunch and wine tasting at a private home/castle. Thanks to Alessio, Angus and Leo for a fantastic experience!

Hands down the best way to see Florence! John was incredible! Very knowledgeable and so accommodating with our 20 month old daughter. The route was easy to navigate and thoughtfully mapped out. Some of the best views of the city and a nice visit to a local winery with delicious wines and snacks! John even recommended an amazing place to eat lunch once we were done. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Please go do this! You won’t regret it.

Good prices compared to other rental places. No problems returning the scooters and getting the deposit back. Staff were friendly. Thanks!

I went to Oktoberfest with Smart Trips and I thoroughly enjoyed my time. they had everything planned out perfectly from the beginning to the end. the bus ride was long but once we got to Munich we all forgot about it. We started the day with a nap which was very much needed but after that, we were shown where we could get dirndls with a discount which really helped us fit in. after dirndle shopping we headed back to our hostel to get ready for the day. our hostel was about a twenty minute walking distance from the festival which made it really convenient. The first day we went a bit later in the day and we were able to get into a tent. There we ordered a stein of beer and a meal. The meal in the tent was schnitzel and it was really good but the food in the tent was just very pricey. It is also important to keep in mind that in the tents it is cash only so you need to make sure to bring cash with you when you go. Then we eventually left the tent and found out that when you leave a tent you can really get back in so we decided to stay in the tent the whole day for the next day. The next day we woke up early and smart trips actually organized walking to the festival together so that we could all stand in line together. We were able to quickly get into the festival and secure a table at one of the most popular tents in the whole festival. From there we were able to hang out in the tent. In the tent we ran into other people that we met through the trip as well as people from back in Florence.we spent basically the whole day there and then we explored around the many rides at the festival. The this that i loved most about our experience with smart trips is that, they also had additional activities available, like a bike tour and a trip to Dachau concentration camp. I choose on the last day to partake in going to Dachau. It was very nice to be able to have the opportunity to learn about dachau and have the ability to go when i otherwise would not have been able to. it was overall an amazing trip and I had so much fun

My dad and I had the pleasure of doing a wine ride with Chris as our guide. It was a great experience. Chris picked us up promptly from our airbnb in Florence. He also made sure we were comfortable on our bikes before we got started. The best part of the ride was that he followed us in a van to help carry any of the wine we bought along the way. We would absolutely recommend this experience!
