- Mahmoud ZRome, Italy1 contributionThis company provides horrible service with zero responsibility for passengers. It is extremely unsafe—they might abandon you in the middle of the road at midnight without any explanation or assistance! 😡
To make matters worse, they don’t even have a valid contact number in Italy, leaving passengers stranded with no way to reach them.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Patsy69London, UK7 contributionsMinutes after arriving at our hotel in Florence we jumped on a 23 bus and used the bus tap and go as we had everywhere else in Italy without issue. The card wasn't read properly as the reader had an 'out of service' message but the driver waved us on. Ticket inspectors got on and one of the two was aggressive, militant and extremely intimidating. He acknowledged that both readers on the bus didn't work but told us we should not have boarded, we apologised but he demanded our ID/passports and fined us €43 euros. He held us hostage way past our stop after we paid the scam fine. His female colleague looked uncomfortable with his aggression but did not intervene. We were shaken and just wanted to get away from him. He was half our age and very very intimidating. It was obvious we were not trying to get a free bus ride. I wish I had taken a picture of him to report him but we were quite terrified. For those of you enjoying yourselves in Florence, be cautious when using public transportation.
On public transportation, you have to tap only your Visa card for each person. They will not accept Mastro or any other cards, nor will they accept cash. If you ask the driver about tickets, he will not respond properly. He doesn't speak English and will tell you to go inside. If you board the bus, the drama starts suddenly. A ticket collector will come in and charge you a fine of 43 euros per person.
