Not only were they extremely knowledgeable about the areas that we toured but they also helped us communicate while shopping and dining as no one in our group spoke Italian. The drivers were prompt and friendly. Took care of our luggage. One Driver gave us a fascinating history lesson about Florence. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. From the moment we got in the car, he was so welcoming and couldn’t wait to give us recommendations for things to do. He even provided us with a cute print out of things to do, and it was broken down by category!

He was truly our first impression of Florence outside of our hotel concierge (who was also amazing) and this gave us a game plan for things to do as we headed into town!

We loved the history and charm of the small, medieval towns and private wine and lunch tasting. He made sure the day was customized to what we wanted to see and do. It was well worth the money and time. Alessandro was overly responsive with his emails. They were thorough, thoughtful and timely. Our driver was on time, attentive and informative. I asked a million questions and they never hesitated to answer all of them. I highly recommend this company. - Flyer070474445173 contributionsWhen people ask my husband and I about our favorite day of our 14 day trip in Italy. It was hands down the day we used Hire in Italy to take us on a private drive to different wineries. Andrea, our driver was hands down the best part of the experience and so knowledgeable. Our first winery we arrived at, not everyone spoke English and Andrea spoke to the locals and ensured we got where we needed to be before leaving us on our own. He also recognized that the wineries we had picked did not have lunch and recommended a lunch spot between both wineries. He truly was not just a driver and was always giving us fun facts throughout our drive. He drove us around Tuscany and took us to San Gimignano, Siena and Monteriggioni. He drives a well maintained Merc with a huge boot space for good amount of luggage. Provides you with wifi, water, chocolates, hand towels and a journey full of interesting conversations and insights into the Italian culture and about various places. - Liz RVilla Park, CA40 contributionsWe booked 2 tours with Tuscany in Tour, one in Bolgheri and the other in Chianti. We had never visited a Bolgheri annd were interested in tasting Super Tuscans and learning more about the wines in that region. Max arranged our tour based on our input to the type of wine we liked and even gave us a choice of wineries to visit (pending availability). We visited 2 wineries and they also arranged lunch at Osteria San Guido.
On the second day we asked to visit wineries in the Chianti region with some sightseeing in San Gimignano. Perfect day, just enough wine tasting and town visits. Our guide, Alessandro Mascherini, is the best. He is knowledgeable, patient and soon seems like an old friend. He picked us up at the place we were staying and dropped us there at the end of the day. He arranged a wonderful lunch at a winery with lots of wine, olive oil and vinegar tasting. - MNmePalm Beach, FL23 contributionsMy daughter was coming to Florence to live for the immediate future. She is in her twenties and likes to be independent. I admire that, but also wanted to be sure her intro to the city would be a warm one.
I went in search of the best driver to pair her with for her transfer from the airport to her apartment.
I came across the world of glowing reviews that all had Marco’s name attached. I contacted him late at night his time and he couldn’t have been more kind, as though we were old friends just picking up again.
I explained what I wanted to accomplish and he understood immediately.
The day of her flight arrived and my daughter couldn’t have been more pleased. Marco felt like an old friend to her, as well, he pointed out sites as they drove and giving her the lay of the land she would really need to hit the ground confidently.
When they got to her destination Marco kindly gave my daughter his phone number and told her he and his family lived close by and would gladly help her if she ever had a need. So touching.
He then went on to provide a list of his favorite restaurants in the area that were all something a college aged student could afford and also enjoy. My daughter is already planning with her friends for the excursion into the countryside she plans to hire Marco to take her on.
There is no praise high enough for what Marco provided for us. He was just so perfectly the right man for the job.
