I hadn't used the Milan metro for over 30 years - and unsurprisingly it had changed a bit! And for the better.

    There are now five lines.

Signs in the stations are clear. There are electronic display signs on the platforms. Maps of the whole network abound so knowing where to change is easy.

As I was just passing through Milan from the main coach station to the main train station payment was easy too - I merely scanned my bank card at the entrance station barrier and at the exit station barrier.

The BikeMi bike share network in Milan is very extensive, easy to use and even provides confirming emails to advise you that you have successfully returned your bike.
However, I only give it an average rating because so many of the bikes we used with the service were in such poor shape and they are very heavy. There is no way to identify to the service that a bike needs maintenance, you just park it in a slot again.
Note, there is a 2 hour time limit for each individual use and extra charges for any use beyond 30 minutes.
On the plus side, the bikes have lights and a cable lock for use when stopping for a bite to eat or when shopping.

TERRIBLE, the experience with flixbus was horrible, they made us wait almost 4 hours in milano where the place to wait is HORRIBLE. Everything was dirty especially in the coffee jouen. And they made us wait 1 hour in Zurich for nothing. I don’t recommend to go somewhere with flixbus if it’s more than 3 hours.

The price is execrable, HOW I PAID 60e for this ???????? I will never go back good bye flixbus

My Trenord train was cancelled due to strike on Oct 13 2024 when I
visited Milan. The ticket window guy told me that I need to mail all
these tickets for refund. There was a long queue and after 1 hour of
standing I was told this by Trenord guy.
Then I came back to India and sent 3-4 emails so far but still I keep
getting emails that after 30 days I will get my refund. Even in
countries like India, railways refund within 4-5 days and in this
so-called developed country, I have been waiting since Oct 13 to get
my refund for cancelled trains. I am not even starting on how much
extra I had to pay due to these cancellations. I feel Trenord is
    filled with scammers.
Italy has to do something to stop these scam companies which are just
trying to scam travelers and never returns money.
