- WiffLondon, UK259 contributionsI’d totally recommend the stadium tour. I’ve done similar tours at Barcelona, Real Madrid & Valencia, but this is by far the best one I’ve been on. The guide was really good at explaining everything, behind the scenes stories and insights. The tour started in the museum where we saw trophies, and shirts from famous ex-players. Half was AC Milan and the other Inter Milan. We then saw dressing rooms (each very different) and the pitchside for photos. We finished in an area dedicated to the National team. It felt slightly like it’d be put into a space which didn’t do it justice considering the honours and players Italy have had over the years. All the same it was very interesting to see and prompted some memories of matches I’d seen in the 80’s & 90’s growing up and getting into football.
The club shop wasn’t pushed onto us, which was also a refreshing change. Able to handle interruptions (late arrivals, ticketing issues) with elegance. The painting itself and the refectory are to be experienced slowly (the 15 minutes is enough if you are focused) to understand the masterpiece. It was refreshing to have her as a guide. She also knows the best place to take pictures despite of the huge crowd that day. It was our luck, it was a sunny day and the stained glasses in the church glowed beautifully that day. Plus the skip the line feature was so helpful and time saving for us as well! for an hour: that was filled with interesting historical facts and more recent details about how the art work was created and then, saved for the world.
Clarissa gave us details whilst we were in the refectory about the art work and brought it to life. The 15 minutes flew by.
At the end of the tour she then made sure we caught the correct tram to go to the Duomo.

She was enthusiastic and an excellent teacher. Her friendly style made the whole group feel comfortable and work together well. She also taught us much about Italian culture and the central role that food plays in it.

The rooftop was exceptional. The whole tour was very interesting. I only gave it 4 starts, because I thought that that it was a bit pricey ($67).
