Wondeful guide. Well organized. We bought our tickets on Trip Advisor before we left the US. Everyone was amazed that we were able to get tickets on short notice. Plan ahead to see this amazing masterpiece.

Architecture is wonderful and worth a visit in itself to marvel at. Went in on a weekday in m August and it was extremely busy. Many restaurants had queues and the public areas were also very busy. If you don’t like crowds this is not the place for you.

Whilst it is great to have a large number of luxury shops in one location most of these shops are part of global chains such as Prada or Louis Vuitton.

Interesting fortress with lots of towers that are museum with different arts designs and topics.
The unfinished work of Miguel Angelo Pieta is one of the major attraction of the museum.

You can visit all museums within the fortress which was nice but we were also kind of expecting a castle or a more historical indoor architecture and design, which was not the case.

We were intrigued by the ads showcasing the painting The Kiss, and a friend had recommended this museum. The building itself is a beautiful piece of architecture with an interesting history. Access to the museum was easy to navigate, however, the staff was a little less fluent in English than we needed. However, we used the self-tour app and spent a lovely time in the museum, seeing and appreciating all the highlights. It would have taken a few days to tour the entire collection, so the app was the perfect way for a tourist to sample some of the more renowned pieces in the museum. Don’t forget your earbuds and be sure you have internet access on your device!

Definitely a must. It was an experience that was worth doing, we did use the lift to be honest. Spectacular views you just wouldn’t see otherwise.

I decided to visit the cemetery as something different to do, that I haven’t/wouldn’t do elsewhere. Plus it’s very hot in Milan right now and I thought it would be good to get out of the centre of the city. I wasn’t disappointed. I am not an expert on Italian culture or sculpture so I didn’t recognise any of the names I saw, but nonetheless it was interesting to wander round and see the incredible memorials and tombs. The cemetery was pretty shady and there were water foundations all over the place so it was as pleasant as a very hot day could be.
Other reviewers have complained about the toilets, there were several toilets marked on the map, the one I used (not the one at the entrance) was perfectly clean and had no mosquitos.

This is the home of Leonardo’s fresco The Last Supper. It’s a must see in Milan. Make sure to purchase tickets well in advance.

Seeing an opera here was a major item on my bucket list. And La Scala did not disappoint: exquisite singing, awesome acoustics, innovative staging and flawless pairing with the orchestra. We reserved tickets for Rigoletto months in advance, but decided to splurge on prime box seats when we couldn't get unobstructed views from the less expensive galleries. Good choice, because the people sitting at the back of our box couldn't really see the staging or the English translation screen and left early.
The theater itself is not as fancy as its counterparts in Paris or Vienna, but you'll want to dress up to fit in with the fashionable Milan crowd. At the interval, head for the bar to try LaScala's house brand of prosecco, 15 euros for a generous pour. Worth every eurocent, if you love opera. I'm already saving up to go back.

compared to European level rather costly area, but well worth visiting. Milano is expensive, so is this area, but the combination of restaurants next to a little canal is very cute. Food is good, service is acceptable, location is all. Just enjoy a nice evening strolling along.

Everything you need as a tourist. Great food, colorful corners, goodd vibes and pedestrian areas where you can feel the spirit of Milano. And this was in August, where most of the city is closed

Amazing and beautiful! The various vignettes are absolutely stunning. Don't miss the 2nd room behind the main sanctuary. There is no fee to visit.

A beautiful place to discover! Not to be missed if you like 20's & 30's architecture.
Their tour presentation (website available at the entrance of the villa) is very well structured exploring each room one after the other.
You can also enjoy the garden for a drink / snack.
The place has been featured in the House of Gucci film... you will recognise the entrance.
Also there is a special card that you can buy online which grants you access to the 4 private house museums in Milan (This villa as well as Villa Poldi Pezzoli, Bagatti Valsecchi and Casa Boschi di Stefano0. A great value.

Modern piazza with shops and restaurants. It had a really chilled out feel to it, much more relaxed than the hustle and bustle of central Milan. The Parco Biblioteca degli Alberi is right next to the Piazza and is a great place for a picnic or just to lie in the sun/shade and relax for a bit. I highly recommend an afternoon here if you’ve had enough of galleries/churches/shopping.

The Duomo is spectacular by day or night, but is so massive that it's hard to get a decent photo of it if you're too close. What's really fun is to watch the would-be influencers striking their poses and then give it a try yourself.
