Total chaos trying to purchase tickets to ride the Leonardo Express back to the airport. First not easy to find the right machine. Only about a half dozen people ahead of us trying to purchase tickets but only one vending machine available near the platform and everyone was struggling to make the purchase with the completely uninterested station employee standing there not bothering to help anyone greatly. Took over 20 minutes and missed 2 consecutive trains in the process. Buy your tickets online in advance. It was also a long wait for a taxi when we arrived in town on a Saturday evening. Stood in taxi line for over 30 minutes even though there may have only been about a dozen couples in front of us. It seemed like a taxi would show up every 3-5 minutes. On a positive note, intercity Italian trains are modern, fast and comfortable and left on time.

I tried NTV attracted by the very low coatof the ticket.
Actually the trip did not value one cent more than I paid for: wireless not working, movie not working, uncomfortable seats, and, finally a 20 minute delay on a one hour and half trip.
Ridiculous! Let's go with Trenitalia and "Frecce"

I have been travelling along this route since I was young, until I left Rome to live in Tuscany.
I often come back to Rome and I still travel on this train to Ostia. The trains are new and in summer air conditioning usually works. Unfortunately it gets out of service sometimes, but in case of need you can reach Ostia passing from Fiumicino Airport by train. The price of the ticket is the same of the bus.
