Nice park if Madrid's traffic and pollution gets to you. Huge pond where you can rent a rowing boat. Don't know if i would be so romantic...

We did the tour a few days ago. We opted for the guided tour, in English, and it was money well spent. Our guide was excellent (I wish I could remember his name) and very knowledgeable on his subject. I’m not a soccer fan, my husband is, but I really enjoyed the tour. The tour itself was nearly 2 hours long. I think there was about 16 people in our group and that was the perfect size.

Madrid is beautiful & clean but Gran Via takes it to another whole new level..! Firstly the buildings and architecture are stunning! You'll want to take pictures of every building ( I hope your phones can handle all that picture taking..) because every building is unique and beautiful! They are very well maintained, spacious walkways with many people/ tourists and nice sounvenir shops. Many shops and restaurants too..! One word.., "Amazing!"

About a 15 minute walk from the Royal Palace, this is worth visiting. Only 10 people are allowed within the temple building at any time and you book your free place using a QR code on a noticeboard next to the entrance. There were about 20 people waiting when we arrived but we were happy just to walk around it. The pond surrounding the temple is currently empty so if you are planning to go there for photos of a sunset reflection then you'll be disappointed.

I love coming to this museum! It's absolutely gorgeous inside and super cheap! They have incredible exhibits, especially on antiquities, Ancient Greece, and Ancient Rome. Definitely recommend it if you're visiting Madrid!

An iconic landmark in Madrid, this intersection is surrounded by attractive buildings and has a huge fountain in the centre. Fantastic in the day but it is magnificent when illuminated at night. The former Communications building is now the Town Hall and on the opposite corner is the Banco de Espana. A meeting point for all major celebrations in Madrid when the roads are closed.

A place worth a visit. As you tead through the El Retiro Park and finally reach the palacio de Cristal you really enjoy the view. The fountain lying in front of the palace filled with ducks and turtles is also a visual treat. Sadly the palacio itself was shut due to maintenance but the view from outside too was great.

We stayed for 20 nights at an Airbnb located at Calle General Díaz Porlier in barrio Salamanca.
In this barrio you find everything from a popular market like Mercado de La Paz to chic boutiques in Serrano and Velasquez. You have great restaurants all over the area and many 4 & 5 stars hotels .

Our family of five arrived at Puerta de Atocha during the first week of January 2024. The service was wonderful, and the staff were attentive and helpful. However, we encountered some challenges in finding a suitable driver with a large van to accommodate our extensive luggage and the number of people in our party. This process was time-consuming and required significant effort.

Recommendation: Tourists with larger parties and substantial luggage should definitely do some research and make arrangements in advance to ensure a smoother experience at this location.

I stopped into the Palacio de Cibeles when noticing it as I walked to another museum. I went in specifically because of an exhibit about how video games can inspire city design. I'm so happy I went in - the exhibit was cool and interesting, but the space was stunning with its glass block bridges suspended over the former post office main floor. The exhibit on the building's history was also fun from an architecture point of view. This was one of my surprise discoveries in Madrid; I'm so happy I stopped in to see it!
