Impressive neo-classical building on a small street near the Neptune Fountain. The evening is very well lit.

Palacio de Fomento is an impressive building. It was built at some stage during the 19th century and has always been a government building housing various ministries. We only saw this building from a distance a nd for a short time so can not say too much on it. However its significance is shown by the fact it has been put on the List of important Cultural and Heritage buildings of Spain. Worth a closer look.

Not many visitors seem to make it here. This area has many spectacular buildings located between the rear of The Prado and then beautiful new formal gardens on the west side of the Park Retiro.

As temperatures were hitting over 100 degrees Fahrenheit my twin brother Stephen and I were walking to a pub to enjoy some cold beers to cool down and passed through Plaza De La Villa De Paris ,an oasis of calm amidst the hussle and bustle of this vibrant city and as a stunning backdrop to this square is Tribunal Supreme .
Tribunal Supremo ( Supreme Court ) is the highest court in Spain and also the most important judicial court in this most beautiful of countries ,a stunning looking building ,the facade is fabulous ,such a great building to view ,it's a building that adds to the joy of walking around Plaza De La Villa De Paris.

My twin brother Stephen and I were heading to the Cerveceria 100 Montaditos for some cooling beers as temperatures hit 107 degrees Fahrenheit and we passed this great looking building.
Ministerio De Agricultural ,Pesca Y Alimentacion which was formally Palacio De Fomento is a great looking 19th century building ,so beautiful to behold ,the most distinctive feature of this building are the statues atop the building collectively called La Gloria Y Los Pegasos sculptured by Agusti Querol Subirats, the original statues were damaged by the elements and during the Spanish Civil War and replaced with these replicas ,all in all a great building to check out if you're in the area and easy to locate on Paseo De La Infanta Isabel.

Madrid is a city justifiably famous for it's great architecture ,walking around most any street in the city centre throws up a great looking building ,one of the most famous streets and possibly one of the longest in Madrid at 10.5 kilometres is Calle De Alcala ,a street lined with amazing looking buildings ,one that caught my eye was Ministerio De Igualdad Building.
A great looking facade ,obviously very old ,the most distinctive features of the building are the Doric columns and the beautiful arches ,if you're walking down Calle De Alcala it's most definitely a building to check out .
