The Sagrada Familia of course is amazing. Gaudi was totally off the air the the church reflects this - an odd mixture of modernism, traditional baroque and other rather eccentric ideas.. The building is not coherent in its architecture but it has to be seen. The only problem is international tourism .Remember the time you could go into a church and sit and look and appreciate the spirituality. Well now imagine sitting in a church that feels like Grand Central Station on a busy day.
My son and I did the tour with Oliver and he was excellent. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and had a good sense of humour and kindness in his guidance. Would highly recommend Oliver to anyone!
Senor Miro is a perfect Barcelona in a day tour guide. He shared his vast knowledge at every step. We were fully engaged for the full 7 hours, always anticipating another amazing knowledge nugget! I will be sharing these nuggets far and wide for weeks to eager family and friends as they envision their own future trips to magical Barcelona.
Its worth taking this trip if you are short of time and want to visit multiple places in a single day. Jamena was our guide. She was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. Trip was very well planned and well paced. After guided tour at each place, we were given some extra time to explore the places ourselves. Definitely recommended.
Our family of 5 loved our bike tour. Easy to ride in this city, beautiful sights, interesting information. Lovely guide - patient and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
Everything was great, we absolutely loved it! I read a lot of comments about buses not having free seats but luckily we never had such problem. We booked for Tuesday and Wednesday with Catamaran ride, and the hardest part was to find the said Catamaran - it was not easy! Turns out, your best bet is to look for "Barcelona City Sailing" on Google Maps - and go talk to them and check their schedule there. It is a booth next to Columbus Monument. It took us half a day to figure that out because there was no info provided anywhere which was very frustrating. Other than that - great value for the money!
I´ve seen many of Gaudi´s houses, and Casa Vicens is by far the one I liked the most. To think that in 1878 he was 26 years old just finishing his studies of architecture is amazing. Every detail and ideas he had amazed me, For me, if I have to rate only Gaudi´s houses is #1 Casa Vicens, Casa Batló #2, La Pedrera #3 and the house they have in Parc Guell #4. He was a genius ahead of all times, it´s a pleasure to be able to walk around and listen the audioguide which explains everything ! and don´t miss the video on the 3rd floor.
We did the 60 minute Christmas lights tour. Our driver/guide, Roger, was excellent. Very informative, interesting and amusing .Obviously it was in the dark but the lights were lovely . Roger explained the different decorations, the history of buildings, history of Barcelona etc. We'd definitely do another tour when, not if, we come back . Probably the 2 hour tour in the day --with Roger 😀
Alba was amazing. She was very friendly, informative and educational in her presentation. We were staying right in the middle of where this tour walked through, and never saw or knew all the history we were missing as we walked by.
We had never been to a flamenco performance before and were a little worried that the Las Ramblas location may have meant this would be a little 'touristy'. However (although I am no expert) the club was wonderfully atmospheric and the performance of all of the artists (dancers and musicians) was incredible. Really intense and exciting. We would strongly recommend a visit when you are next in Barcelona.
