- Neil KLiverpool, UK8,28,711 contributionsI found Riera Baixa Street a rather boring street to visit,if your on holiday and your into your retail therapy there are some boutique and vintage cloth shops here,they looked busy but of i have no interest at all in shopping while on holiday, that said the architecture here is quite good,some great examples of Gothic style architecture but I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this street.

- VictorKLCC7 contributionsFantastic leather shop. Bought a lovely red leather men's belt bag. Simply gorgeous. Bought another 2 leather shoes for my lady friend and her mum too. The prices are very cheap and reasonable and the leather quality looks fabulous. Met a british lady there and she told us she bought a pair yesterday with her friend, apparently they walked 12 hours today and decided to buy more as the shoes were so comfortable. The lady managing the store was super helpful and very knowledgeable too. A must see and a must buy when you are in Barcelona. We had a terrific time in Espana, in Madrid and Barcelona. Grazias to all our espana friends who made our stay in Espana so comfortable and fun. Adios but we will be back for more soon. - Emilio T3 contributionsWe went on a walking food tour and our guide brought us to Casa Gisbert. The staff are friendly and there was zero pressure to buy anything. We were boarding a cruise the next day, so we loaded up on snacks and I am glad we did. I love the wood oven roasted nuts, especially the hazelnuts. They have just a hint of smokiness. Their sweets are excellent, and I tried candied almonds and torro. We bought some beautiful sparkly caramel chocolate almonds which were amazing and some churros with chocolate sauce which were the best I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommended place to visit when in Barcelona. - lauriewgrVancouver, Canada12 contributionsWe dropped in for a couple of glasses of wine and were so glad that we did! The wine was delicious---some of the best we had in Spain! This quaint little shop has been around since the 50s. We loved the interior and you can feel the history. It was quiet, so we were lucky to be able to spend some time with Jose, the owner. Thanks for the chat Jose!

We'd picked up the usual Barcelona specific gifts but wanted something disney. We happened upon this Primark while sat on a tourist bus and called in. There is a basement, ground floor and a further 4 floors. The children's department is on the very top. As someone who is terrified of heights, this presented a challenge and paying in the children's department has you facing a cashier with a just above floor length window behind them: great view over the plasa despite constantly thinking I could fall out of the window (I'm not known for clear thought when petrified). My husband even looked through the feature hole in the floor down to the basement and was impressed by the general decor of the building. We were able to get my granddaughter some Disney baseball boots and numerous tshirts and shorts. We even treated our daughter to some Power Puff Girl merch!
