- Barb TToronto, Canada258 contributionsMy sister and I went up to the 9th floor to enjoy the washrooms, and then we ate at the cafeteria, where you get an amazing view of the city. Took the elevators down to the basement and enjoyed the massive grocery store there, as well as free turron samples from Vicens. We purchased a small 250 ml tin of Los Aljibes extra virgin olive oil for 5 euros (which was 15 euros at the airport, so a great deal!). Grocery stores are awesome souvenir shops, lol. Also some La Rosera saffron in a glass jar for four euros. and despite repeated calls & mails(9 times in total via chat, emails, calls, iga messages) to customer care nothing has been done. Typically dressed in black and red and shown with the pants pulled down it was a symbol of good luck, joy and good fortune. Through defecation the land was fertilized for the following year.
It was truly a unique store to walk through and see the hundreds of different Caganer figures depicting famous soccer players, Shrek, politicians, etc. we could not believe its popularity especially after seeing a couple of these stores around Barcelona.

Bought another 2 leather shoes for my lady friend and her mum too. The prices are very cheap and reasonable and the leather quality looks fabulous. Met a british lady there and she told us she bought a pair yesterday with her friend, apparently they walked 12 hours today and decided to buy more as the shoes were so comfortable. The lady managing the store was super helpful and very knowledgeable too. A must see and a must buy when you are in Barcelona. We had a terrific time in Espana, in Madrid and Barcelona. Grazias to all our espana friends who made our stay in Espana so comfortable and fun. Adios but we will be back for more soon. - Deborah RNottingham, UK123 contributionsLarge store at the top of the Avenue Diagonal 9there is also a smaller one at the Placa Catalunya) Much like Selfridges, full of designer brands. Lots of handbags (Loewe, Fendi etc) Many of the brands of clothing are Spanish and not widely known in the UK, and these were very expensive. We thought the best part of the store was the supermarket on the lower floor, we had some great sushi. The prices for food products there were very reasonable. We went via the hop on/hop off bus which stops about 200 mtrs from the store.
