We booked our ticket in the UK including a free burger though the price to buy in Tenerife itself isn’t all that much different. Well worth the money though for the sheer amount there is to do and see! Having been to Sea World (Orlando) I would say Loro Parque is on par, if not better!

Some incredible animals to see and learn about. We stayed until just before park closing and got to see the big cats more active - perhaps cause it’s cooler for them also, but seeing a white tiger prowling around, the black jaguar, and the lions playing was well worth the admission itself! The parrot incubation centre was also so interesting to see, from very tiny featherless things in incubators all the way up to socialising (loudly) colourful birds.

Also the new parts of the park (coral exhibit and penguins) were very well made and great additions. Friendly staff, great shows, and interesting exhibits 🐢🪼🐬🐊🦈🦩🐅🐆🦭

Botanical gardens aren’t really my thing though we walked past and for only €3 it was a lovely way to spend an hour wandering through the rows and rows of weird and wonderful (and well kept - staff all over watering and preening the gardens) plant life. Nice and cool on a hot day also as it’s quite shaded!

For €5.5 per day and €2.5 for a parasol you can spend the whole day here - bars and places to eat are plentiful and you will always find a sun bed
With the absence of a decent beach in the resort this place is an absolute must
The sea water pools are so good and you don’t have to worry about the sandy feet
You get all the benefits of the sea air and salty sea without the sand - a big plus for us
Toilets and places to change also available

We passed by here on our way from Puerto de la Cruz to the Teide Volcano. It is a beautiful area, full of greenery. Forest, from place to place, few houses, small agricultural lands, domestic animals from place to place.
I see that many people have posted reviews about the town of La Orotava, which is completely different thing.

A lovely place to walk around with fantastic views. Lots of steps. The view from the cafe is amazing. Lovely place to relax with a coffee or a cold drink for a while. It's definitely worth the walk up here for the view.

It wasn't obvious where to hire the sunbeds and umbrella from, but we did find a large area in the shade at the far end of the beach and it was also the best place to swim as it was less wavey.
There's free toilets and changing room, which was really useful and reasonably clean.

The Plaza is lively and charming especially at night. Beware the restaurants, they are not all as good as they look. We visited one with a singer on. Great atmosphere but the food was terrible.

An attractive Church in the centre of Puerto, with a pleasant little square at the rear.
Unable to look round inside other than s quick peep, as there was a Sunday service taking place.

A lovely, peaceful and colorful park in the middle of the city, with a cafe serving delicacies. Strong recommendation.

We love to sit in this area. We especially like it when the waves are crashing up against the walls. It is not always safe to swim as red flags are displayed. It is a refreshing exciting place to sit whatever the weather.
