What travellers are saying
- JM47 contributionsI loved Plaza de espana. It’s so cleverly designed and built and so spacious that it doesn’t feel crowded with tourists. It’s a must when visiting Seville.Written 13 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sorin pWichita Falls, TX117 contributionsOne of the main attractions in Seville. Nice architecture and beautiful gardens. - Tracey D76 contributionsA very impressive cathedral right in the centre of the city next to the Alcazar, with the bonus of the tomb of Christopher Columbus. - Mileidys BKaty, TX14 contributionsA very cute ,and quaint with its narrow streets ,and vibrant atmosphere. The shops I visited were really nice and salespeople were helpful and friendly but not pushy. I loved the area and we visited every night while here.Written 9 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DotsGirl2Vancouver, Canada601 contributionsThis park is adjacent to Plaza de Espana. It is a nice park with lots of shade. Watch out for the horse drawn carriages making their way around. It is a nice park but not spectacularWritten 6 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DotsGirl2Vancouver, Canada601 contributionsThis is a long walk mainly up ramps to the top. Once you get there the views are wonderful. It was quite busy up there so we had to wait to view out the windows from the four sides. It wasn’t too hard a climb for early70’s ladiesWritten 8 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Catherine HManchester, UK78 contributionsWe did enjoy our wander around the Metropol admiring this completely wooden structure and it is easily accessed by a lift in the plaza. It gives great views across the city and the information boards allowed to identify all of the key landmarks. Your ticket allows you to visit twice in one day so we returned after dark. Sunset was VERY busy but the light show after dark was lovely and we would recommend doing this. There are lots of bars in the shade of the Setas and musicians playing at the bottom of the steps which gives a nice atmosphere to the whole area.Written 22 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kevboomRaleigh, NC248 contributionsBeautiful place to visit, amazing tile work around the various patios and courtyards, lovely gardens. Definitely worth a visit along with the Real Alcazar, and the local barrios around Casa de Pilatos are really interesting to walk through as well with narrow streets and beautiful architecture. We walked directly from Casa de Pilatos to the Setas de Seville, so you can do both in one trip/walk. We were unclear about the advertised "free Mondays" at Casa de Pilatos which turns out is only available to EU citizens, so don't go on a Monday if you don't have EU credentials. The place was packed with people looking for free entry, and many people were turned away for not having EU credentials, including ourselves. This restriction is poorly advertised by both the facility and local social media influencers, so beware. Otherwise, it seems you can get into this place most days without an advance reservation, although you may need a timed reservation to see the "by tour" second floor. Although I did not interact with many staff at this facility on the Wednesday we returned for a visit, one woman who was working in the gift shop on November 13 at 13:08 was particularly rude and could not be bothered to crack a smile, say gracias/de nada, or actually say anything at all. It's pretty bad when you are patronizing a foundation by purchasing products, and the cashier acts like she's doing you a favor. Everyone I met in Spain was so nice, so this one rude person really stands out from the whole trip. I hope the facility will consider giving her some training in customer service.Written 18 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pub Monster NeilLiverpool, UK86,758 contributionsCentro Historico De Sevilla is an absolutely amazing area of this most famous and beautiful of Spanish city's to visit.
Architectural styles abound throughout the historic centre, Mudéjar, Renaissance, Baroque, Gothic, Neoclassical, its just an area packed with amazing looking buildings ,standouts are Sevilla Cathedral, Alcazar and Archivo De Indias but there's just so many beautiful buildings here ,its hard to say which is the most beautiful, I love wandering around the winding streets packed with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants and flamenco taverns which are the beating heart of the historic centre, its a major tourist destination, atmosphere here is always vibrant, its a must go destination if you're planning a holiday to Seville.Written 23 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Probably but you do get to understand the historical and cultural context a bit more.
Our tickets were just 6 Euro each (old fa*ts) which for museum and bull ring and audio guide was good.
One odd/ funny exhibit were 8 realistic human heads hanging near entrance to museum. With killed real bull's heads mounted nearby it made you wonder.... Turned out to be a game to practice use of lances like in old jousting contests !Written 9 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Had to take the underground to another area to have drinks outsideWritten 4 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yvonne CCordoba, Spain22 contributionsA fabulous welcoming gallery, most signs well translated to English, and you can work out the titles of paintings by looking at the picture and the Spanish 😀. Very cheap entry. Many artists unfamiliar to us coming from the UK so that was great. Spent 2 hours there to cover everything. Wheelchair friendly. No bags allowed but there are lockers.Written 22 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
