The no. 2 bus from the Atarazanas has a regular service. However, its about a 20 minute walk uphill from the terminus to the entrance to the park (you have to cross under the motorway to get there). The park is massive but has a well signposted trail of paths around it. There is a good cafe and plenty of toilets around the paths. There is a lot of information as you walk round both about the history of the gardens and its founders. Different areas focus on particular aspects of subtropical plants e.g. the Mediterranean plants, the cacti area, Palm trees. We visited in February but imagine that there would be a riot of colour from Spring to Autumn. We spent the whole day there and still didn’t see everything.

This is just a few short steps above the Malaguena beach and well worth the visit hoping that the small fee will help with its upkeep. The place is very tranquil and peaceful and a stroll among the graves and headstones makes you forget the bustling city below. The children's graves really makes you not go back to the "good old days" when so many children died of now preventable diseases.

Lovely gardens and artefacts all over the gardens and inside the buildings. Beautiful doors, ceilings and working drainage systems. It can get very busy in the afternoon so try and go during quieter times. Tickets are from a machine, so be patient!

An interesting place with cool, oddly shaped trees and the beautiful sculpture. But it does give an impression of a bit poorly maintained park with all the trash cans overflowing and homeless people living there.

Huelin Park is located between the district of the same name and the Abbey Gardens, based on a former industrial area. It's a nice green space to wander around as it's close to Maria Zambrano Station. The southern end of the park contains two lakes. One with an island in the middle with a stranded boat and another mini lake with a bridge to "cross" it. Near the western end of the park is a unique architectural element, a lighthouse with not a ship in sight, except for the aforementioned boat.

A nice piece of greenery to wander around. The park is quite popular with the locals as it has a "dog park", as well as a large children's play area.

La Coracha is the enclosed area between the Gibralfaro Castle and the Alcazaba to provide safe passage between the two areas. In Moorish times it was a beautiful garden area.
