This is a place that you must visit if travelling to El Puerto, but be warned that it is very popular and sherry tours and tasting must be booked in advance. If things don't work out then you can always reture to tapas and sherry heaven that is Toro Tapas, which is part of the estate.

If you are in Cadiz for a few days (or indeed Puerto de Santa Maria although can't envisage spending that long there) this is a great trip.
In itself the ferry trip provides impressive views of Cadiz from the sea and of the Constitution bridge. Especially from the open top deck.
Assuming you start in Cadiz, the other end, El Puerto de Santa Maria is a charming little town full of bars and restaurants with a few monuments and historical buildings that is best known for the Osborne Bodega and as a venue for stag and hen parties.
The whole operation is very efficient, both our trips were on time, and all the staff we came into contact with provided a cheerful and efficient service.

This is a lovely stretch of beach, very wide and flat with bars and restaurants along the promenade. You can almost touch Cadiz!

This tour was something of a revelation for me, not being much of a Sherry drinker. Other reviewers have described the experience very well; there is probably less to “see” than with many attractions, you are really just wandering around a large warehouse filled with barrels. But if you come prepared to ask questions, you can learn quite a lot. For me, the experience of trying 6 different styles of Sherry side by side was an eye opener, and the generous tasting portions and the information gleaned from my very knowledgeable tour guide Paloma made the 12 euro fee seem very reasonable.

Castle was great. The Castle shop turned out to be a sherry shop manned by 3 grumpy ladies where you could only buy sherry by the bottle!

Cute church. Intricate carved facade although eroded and careworn. Usual stuff inside. Whizz round it and go back to the cafes on the square for a good view of the storks on the church roof. Much more interesting than the inside of the church itself. Well worth a stop.

Nice beach, different than many other thanks to the stone wall after which it gets its name. The views are also nice, a good spot to go after/before visiting El Puerto de Santa Maria.

Nice place to visit. 1 hour is fine. Easy and quick acess. Only 10 euro adult entry fee.Self tour of the concourse before you go into the ring. You can stroll around the ring and sit in the stand.

Very expensive. Good facilities & security, but very expensive for what it is.
A FastPass is absolutely essential because you will not get on any good rides if you do not buy one, you will be waiting in line for most of your visit. This costs an extra 20 Euros, (to put this into perspective, I noticed the "blue" queue with non-Fastpass customers and I was in the "red" queue with a fast pass and went on 4 rides while they were still waiting for their first ride).
So typically for a family of four (if you bring your own food), you should expect to spend about 170 euros. If you buy the food and beverages at the park, allow another 60-80 euros for four people.

This nature park is free. You also can park without paying quite near or in front of the main entrance. You can walk in this area or go there with the bike (is is probably better to walk if you also want to enjoy the beach). The longest walk around this area takes us more or less 6 hours, but of course it is possible to have shorter walks. The difficulty of all walks is easy, but there is no shade: the best seasons are probably spring and autumn to do the walk. Dogs are allowed but must be on leash. Caution with pine processionary caterpillars in the spring, they can be letal to your dog!!! (We have been there several times: as our dog is small, we now carry him in one part of the area with many pine trees, just between the bridge and then right, direction of the university).

Puerto Real Declared a Parque Natural in 1989, the Bahia de Cadiz consists of 10,500 hectares of marismas and, largely abandoned, salinas in the municipalities of Cadiz, San Fernando, Chiclana de la Frontera, and El Puerto de Santa Maria. It stretches from Sancti Petri in a broad swathe around the southern, eastern and north eastern sides of the Bay of Cadiz as far as El Puerto De Santa Maria. Since being declared a Parque Natural the various municipalities that administer the area have opened up access to the public and there are now hundreds of kilometres of paths and tracks that can be walked and cycled. The twelve separate areas can be accessed from a number of places.

This place represents a well-honed, thematic and chronological collection of the life of an author and photographic documentary evidence of the democratic transaction. These spaces are essential for the democratic health of the new generations.

Booked an hour for myself and 3 daughters. We chose a ride in the pine forest as the beach ride wasn't until 9pm, which was a bit late for our youngest (aged 6). After choosing helmets we followed the horse van for about 10 minutes to a lovely location. Jesus and his assistant helped us all to get sorted and then we set off. They both spoke fantastic English.

The horses were great - very placid and reliable. Jesus was amazing with the children - putting them at ease, joking and having fun. He and his assistant gave good, clear instructions and made sure everyone was comfortable and knew what to do. We rode for a while and then stopped for ice-cream before heading back.

I love horses so this was a treat for me as much as for the children. I would definitely recommend a trek with El Centro Ecuestre Las Marias. Loved the horses, loved the location and felt so well-looked after by Jesus and his assistant.

The main doors of the church were opened as we walked through the Plaza de Espana in preparation for a wedding and we took the opportunity to enter, and walk around, admiring its fantastic Gothic and baroque architecture and several side chapels
