Visiting the Sagrada Família was truly awe-inspiring. The sheer scale and intricate design of Gaudí’s masterpiece left me speechless. The blend of Gothic and modern architecture is unlike anything I’ve ever seen, with stunning stained-glass windows that fill the interior with colourful light. The details in every corner, from the facades to the sculptures, are simply extraordinary. Climbing the towers offers breathtaking views of Barcelona, which made the experience even more special. It’s a place that feels both peaceful and grand.
The building is very old, antique, and splendid in design, colors, and an architectural masterpiece that you will only see in Barcelona. This building is located near Plaza Catalunya on Brands Street, one of the most important landmarks.
Great place to stroll away the day all the alleys, streets and nooks with beautiful buildings everywhere plus countless shops, cafes, restaurants, bars
Did not experience any of the issues mentioned in various other reviews. Booked online, time was 10am, turned up 9.50am and walked straight in. No passports, only a bag check. Helpful staff steered us straight to a guided tour which cost €10 per person and was very informative and fun and even if the guide's English wasn't altogether clear it really brought some of the history, people and events to life. Were in there for a good 3 hours.
Minimal queues in December apart from Singha and the rapids. Our favourites were Saufa, the dragon, tower of power & Singha. Had a great day out, spent about 4 or 5 hours there. Note there are lots of stairs up to the rides. Beware of the opening and closing times of the bigger rides - some open and close at 1.30pm with only a sign at the ride entrance to warn you. We missed Vulcano and Kinnaree because of this sadly. €7 to park there or can park at the Mall for free.
Super fun and bustling covered market! It's local but all the tourists know about it too. It's really fun to walk through and to get something to eat too.
The size of this mosque and cathedral is incredible. The architecture just blows your mind away. So welcoming to see the co- existence of different religions. Very busy place, book ahead. Ticket also includes visit to St Pablo church, recommended.
Fantastic idea to spend day out. The park is very specious, clean and well maintain. My favorite attraction was the Killer Whale Performance, as I saw them for the first time and they were just amazing and I do hope that one day I will be able to see them in their natural habitat. The park has a variety of places to eat, drink and take a little break.
To describe this place as an aquarium is like describing St Peter’s Basillica as a nice church. It is on a scale far bigger than any aquarium I have visited before. Despite its ambitious attempts to cover seven different marine environments, it is so well designed that you easily walk between exhibits, slipping seamlessly between the various oceanographic regions of the world. Highlights include the mandatory shark tunnel - I could have stayed there all day, the beluga whales and the hauntingly surreal jellyfish. The entry fee is not cheap at around €35 but you can get a combo ticket for a couple of euros extra to allow a visit to one of the adjacent attractions. We chose the science museum which is also fantastic. This combo ticket makes great value and is heartily recommended assuming you have the time to see both. You could fit them in on the same day but it would take a marathon effort. Given our daughter had already ran the 26.2 miles on Sunday, we spread over two days.
Such a stunning setting for this Cathedral, overlooking the port of Palma. It is a beautiful imposing building on the outside and very interesting inside. The way the light shines through the many beautiful stained glass windows is magical. We purchased tickets online a few minutes before entry. Well worth visiting.
Madrid is beautiful & clean but Gran Via takes it to another whole new level..! Firstly the buildings and architecture are stunning! You'll want to take pictures of every building ( I hope your phones can handle all that picture taking..) because every building is unique and beautiful! They are very well maintained, spacious walkways with many people/ tourists and nice sounvenir shops. Many shops and restaurants too..! One word.., "Amazing!"
