- PeterHartlepool, UK781 contributionsA great place to visit for a few hours. Well planned museum , English translations on some of the exhibits. The highlight is of course the outdoor exhibits, the submarine, mine sweeper and destroyer. The submarine was my highlight , Respect to all the men who served in submarines I don't think I could have. A nice cafe , coffee good, and the toilets were clean . When the tide is low, it seems as you can cross the entirety of the waterway, which will become a “sea” in a span of 6 hours, complete with lifeguards on duty and people swimming around.
