We booked an insider tour to visit this site and although it is perfectly straightforward to visit on your own our tour made it logistically much easier and providied a fascinating, personalised commentary.
Sachsenhausen is very thought provoking and gives a clear view of life in the camp both under the Nazis before/during WW2, but also under the Russians post WW2.
