Nice architectural dome on top of the Reichstag building. The view from the walk up the done is great. Make sure to take the audio tour to hear about the scienic places to observe from the dome.
You have to book in advance.

Spent a couple of hours visiting the museum. Free audio guide or can use phone with the qr link. Very informative exhibition which is set out in chronological order. Some harrowing pictures on the boards and certainly thought provoking overall. Outside info boards are set next to original Berlin wall which really isn't a focus here.

The Reichstag dome's symbolism of transparency and the audio guide's insights into the separation of powers were particularly impactful. A must-see for anyone interested in government and the history of freedom in Germany.

Historic open sight of the former border strip, spreading along 1.4 km, with blocks standing as a reminder of a painful past! Free to visit, offering much information. Make sure to visit!

Walking among the more than 2,700 concrete monoliths, imposes feelings of all kinds.. Can't stop contemplating with a heavy hard the number of innocent lives lost.. Can't help but feel trapped or lost in this maze of sorrow!

Some fabulous artwork on the walls. Stark reminder of times gone by of DDR and a time in history you don't want repeated. Can be very busy and a must see when visiting Berlin

The perfect place to spend a few hours. I rented some bikes and rode along the river and around the park stopping off at places of interest. Rosengarten is peacefully tranquil. Schleusen Krug is a great stop off for food and beer.

We had a walk around after paying our €2 enterance fee, and settled at one of the bars for drinks before getting a vegan sausage, cabbage, dumplings and sauce bowl (so tasty!) and a bratwurst! Fun spot to people watch, enjoy some traditional live music, and soak in the atmosphere.

What an unexpected delightful museum. A couple of hundred cars and many unique cars. All beautifully displayed. The $$$ value of some of the cars is eye watering. Nice restaurant/cafe on site for drink and meal. This should come up as one of the top things to do in Berlin, especially if raining as indoors. About a 10 minute walk from underground. Well worth visit, and I’m not the car enthusiasts my husband is.

Alexanderplatz was a must-visit during a visti in Berlin. So I walked around quite a lot and explored the surroundings. It’s the kind of place where you can still feel the vibe of the '80s or early '90s. I’m not sure why, but I always get that feeling whenever I visit that are, especially in nearby places like Watch Tower. But its charm comes from that unique feel.

Really interesting museum. We spent over an hour, but listened to all the audio interviews with people. Great history and helped my understanding of the train birder process. Free of charge and can load an audio on your I phone in English etc.

Stayed in this area for a short city break and we were impressed with the facilities being two very large shopping malls nearby along with many good restaurants, the area also has very good transportation links to many other locations in Berlin

Hackesche Höfe is a captivating area that offers a unique glimpse into Berlin's rich cultural and architectural heritage. The series of interconnected courtyards is beautifully restored, featuring stunning Art Nouveau design elements, colorful murals, and charming boutiques. Exploring the courtyards feels like stepping back in time, with a vibrant atmosphere and a mix of galleries, shops, and cafes. It’s a wonderful place to wander, soak in the local art scene, and discover some hidden gems. If you’re in Berlin, make sure to visit Hackesche Höfe—it’s a delightful and artistic corner of the city that’s well worth exploring.

It's a Sunday flea market with all kinds of collectibles, vintage decor items, books, clothes, accessories as also other vendors selling various things that are interesting...
Live music & food stalls enhance the experience...if you have time, it's a good place to visit.
