A very good museum showing extensive detail of the actions and activities of the Third Reich in all of the countries of Europe involved in WW2.
Extremely detailed and in places very graphic.
Well worth a visit to get a very good overview.

In all directions you look amazing architectural buildings making for Musuem Island great place to visit and explore, with museum and cathedral in the area making for an area a must visit destination.

I would say this is a museum that brings most people of the art community together: the variety of the objects in combination with the building is simply lovely.

I want to provide the floor plan map of DDR Museums. During my trip planning, I realised that the museum floor plan of this popular museum is not available online. Hence I am posting the floor plan map for the benefit of one and all.

I loved this museum and learnt such a lot from my visit - I did not realise the sheer scale of what went and how many were involved in Stasi activities. One tale in particular resonated - that of a married couple both of whom unknown to the other had been recruited to spy on each other. When they both realised they defected somehow to the West - probably about the only thing they could do. They had files on literally everyone and no one was safe and used various what would now seen quite crude methods - no Internet then. I protest about practically everything, and as an autistic woman married to a trans woman would have first on their list and done for!

I visited towards the end of my stay and found it quite an unusual and different Museum with interesting exhibits presented in quite a unique way. The films are very moving and for me really were the main attraction. The history I pretty much know having visited a myriad of Jewish Museums throughout Europe. It was free when I visited but I'm not sure if that's always the case.

We enjoyed this, lots of hands on things to do - we particularly liked the laser maze. It was really busy when we were there - lots of school groups so we didn’t get to try everything as there were queues. I’d recommend booking your slot online in advance - we didn’t and couldn’t get in for over an hour. Loads of information to read so you could easily spend a few hours, but 12 year olds have other ideas!

Free museum that has some spectacular cars in show. A little out of the way, but well worth it for any car enthusiast. Excellent range of cars on show. Most enjoyable

Very detailed and expansive museum in an atmospheric setting. Definitely not for children as some parts are extremely graphic and quite upsetting, even by the usual standards of the subject matter.

Loved my visit here. The art was really thought provoking and I couldn’t believe it was free. Definitely worth a look if modern art is your thing!

Really enjoyed visiting- loved showing my son the sort of games I played when I was younger. All the games were playable from arcade machines, consoles and virtual reality. Pac-man and Pong were real favourites!

The berlin dungeon was a very fun experience, the actors were absolutely fantastic, but the free fall was not working, and we still had to pay a full price of 24£. It was said that the experience would be an hour long, but without the free fall it was about 40 min long. Overall a great experience, but they should not charge the full price if they their equipment is not working, or at least they should have told us in the beginning, that it isn't working.

I liked it very much :D An interesting option for a trip with young children. This is the only museum of wax figures that I have been to so I don’t have any comparison, but I think that this museum is worth visiting!

A wonderful and important museum. It's tiny but extremely impactful and perfect for a solo traveler to spend an hour or two. It is tiny, so I got sandwiched between some tour groups, but it was actually nice to be able to hear the guides! If you are at all interested in history, and even if you aren't, this should be on your list for Berlin.

Museum has excellent exibits on life in the former DDR. Cold War enthusiasts will find the many displays very interesting. Located in the far back corner of the Kulturbrauerei complex. Elevators and HC accessible.
