What travellers are saying
- Paul CManchester, UK184 contributionsWe had waited to do this tour for many years as previous visits to Paris we were unable to get in due to very large queues.
This time we booked a tour and paid in advance, 62 euros for 2 people.
We were given an audio device to use during our visit so we could listen to the facts and information.
The first thing to note is there are a lot of stairs to get down to the catacombs level so beware if there are any medical issues.
There is quite a long walk through the tunnels to the main area.
Listening to the audio about the history of the old city and how all the bones came to be there was very interesting.
At the end there are a number of stairs to to the exit.
I did enjoy the visit but we did think the price paid was very steep for what you actually got.
Still its worth doing and Paris generally is quite expensive.Written 22 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Most of the museum is in French but there is an audio tour in English which explains everything, however the style of presentation is rather annoying, two people having a conversation, a man and the young woman asking questions. This was completely unnecessary. Just describe what we are looking at and why it is important.Written 6 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tobias E1 contributionWas so much fun! We did it as a team event for our leadership team and had a lot of fun. It was a) something super competitive and b) super interesting as you learned a lot about Art and History, while playing the game.
Also I do believe that you would never have seen so much of the Louvre in such a short time, without a game like this.
Also the staff was super nice and really helped us to organize last minute! Well done and would recommend (even some surprise medals at the end! <3)Written 17 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Will, our driver gave us a great overview of Paris monuments and buildings as we drive by. Highly recommend seeing Paris this way for a memorable experience.Written 9 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stefan WTienen, Belgium164 contributionsThe catacombes are impressive. Meters under the ground, you will walk through narrow tunnels and than suddenly you will be confronted with thousands of skulls and bones. All put nicely on top of each other. Really impressive. I rate it only 4 stars as the tickets are expensive and the booking experience is underwhelming.Written 19 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JHOVLondon, Canada157 contributionsRented Lime scooters to travel to Montmartre. They were readily available using the app to locate and reasonably priced ( less than an Uber) to get you from A to B and SO MUCH FUN. You pay via the app get s QR code to unlock your scooter and off you go. When you are done simply step off, take a photo and carry on. Will definitely scooter in other cities.Written 30 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Britten WStowe, VT2 contributionsMy wife and I love walking around Paris, but with such a short visit we decided to rent a Vespa to see a bit more of the city. It was a great choice! Left Bank Scooters made it so easy as well. I booked online, then corresponded both via email and WhatsApp. They delivered the Vespa right on time to our hotel, and after a quick signature, we were off! It was such a great way to see so much more than the area around our hotel. Driving was easy as long as you paid attention. Parking was plentiful and easy overnight. We had the Vespa for two days and would definitely rent one for even longer next time.Written 16 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maria S1 contributionAlex K. was the most amazing guide. He is genuinely so funny and made us laugh every step of the way. On top of that, he knows so much about every place we pass. He always offered to take our pictures. It was a gorgeous trip with him, I 100% recommend for anyone wishing to explore France!Written 22 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very amusing hearing people get told off for being too close to the bones.Written 30 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nhottelCockeysville, MD3 contributionsOur guide Victoire was a 5+ star guide!!!! She not only was extremely knowledgeable, but her passion for the history, the stories, the current state of the catacombs rubbed off on me and my niece! She was also patient with all of us taking photos, and in answering our questions. I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy the tour, but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our 2 week vacation in France. I highly recommend the tour. I rated 4 star because it was quite expensive.Written 6 June 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
