I have been saying for many years that I would visit and each time we visit Paris , never find the time. We had a small amount of time free before our train home on 3rd October 2024, so we thought to visit very quickly, to see Edith Piaf's resting place. I think we spent a couple of hours there, mind you we spoke to a lovely gentleman there on our way out. He told us so much about the cemetery. we told him we will come back for , I should think 3 or 4 hours. We saw Edith Piafs resting place, along with Chopin and Colette. I would think 4 hours is probably needed. I think I would either take a picnic to have a rest inbetween, or otherwise, have lunch locally . I would certaibly recomment a visit but plan ahead

This is a wonderful museum in an elegant mansion. The rooms are interesting and both the ground and upper floors have some nice paintings. The real surprise, though, was a lower level with a large collection of great Monet paintings - a gift from Monet's last surviving son.

The staff were helpful - we arrived on the wrong date with our paid tickets, and they let us in anyway. The museum had great benches for viewing the Monets. Best of all, the museum was not over-stuffed with tourists. There was room, and time, to linger and really look at the great paintings.

My husband, teenage son and I are always looking for off the beaten path activities when we visit a city. This place was exactly what we were looking for. Our fabulous guide Liber showed and explained the games and rides throughout the viewing area. Both children and adults had a lot of fun. At the end we got to ride and pedal on the bicycle merry-go- round that is over a hundred years old. We had a wonderful time indeed!

Petit Palais is not far from Louvre. It is free of charge. There are many sculptures and painting. One of them was painted by Manet. Café and internal garden to relax. Toilets can be found here as well. And it is not crowdy.

What a beautiful park this is, an old gypsum quarry transformed into a stunning park. It is a National park and so free of charge to enter. There are some magnificent specimen trees as you meander along the paths. During our three days in Paris following Disney we visited this park twice.

A very nice historical museum with nice exhibits and room to view things. We got there with basically no line after going to another museum. A really nice feature of this museum is it has lockers for your stuff. It is a very nice museum with historical ruins, mostly pieces of art with some paintings. Almost every room was open but outside parts were not although you could look out windows. Notre Dame is supposed to open soon so there was a large area about ruins from there. Beautiful pieces of what I consider art and artifacts. My husband thoroughly enjoyed it and I enjoyed parts too. We did get off the track and had to go back and see some parts. I found it enjoyable. We spent a few hours there.

A beautiful mansion, now a museum with quite a history background. It is next to the lovely Parc Monceau and well worth your visit. The day I was there there were only 3 other people- such a nice experience after so many lovely but crowded museums

A “foodies paradise” and must stop. Fill up with fresh produce, cheese, chocolate, baked goods and more. Next time in Paris, I might just stay at an Air b&b just to take full advantage of this treasure.

We spent a long time in this interesting museum. There are various exhibition areas all well explained in English that helped make (some) sense of the revolution, the terror, and the communards, Parisian/French history is very complex but this museum helps put it all in context. As well as pre history through to the world wars, It also covers things like historic shop and business signage.
And its free, so popping out to eat at one of the restaurants on the rue de Rivoli nearby is easy.

Some of the parfum smells so much like the branded parfum. Over here it is a fraction of the price of the branded ones.

The musee parfum entry is free and you can scan the QR code for self guided tour.

Last year I visited the High Line in New York City. This is an elevated walkway on a former railway track bed. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting it but it was incredibly busy with people also enjoying the walk.

As a result I was keen to visit the Paris equivalent. Coulee Verte Rene-Dumont is a short walk from Gare De Lyon and with the help of Google I was able to find it.

There is a staircase to climb up to the viaduct and it was well worth checking out. Unlike the New York High line the track has been completely removed and it is beautifully landscaped.

There are well maintained paths and lovely flower beds. There are also gables with roses trained to grow over them. There are plenty of benches to sit on where you can sit and relax and enjoy the scenery.

What is excellent is that even though you are in the heart of the French capital and there is hustle and bustle going on it is very calm and peaceful.

If you want somewhere to go for a break from your busy life then I would recommend coming here.

We spent a good 3 - 4 hours in this museum today & loved it.

There is a wonderful array of exhibits which covered the history of all sorts of inventions & industrial devices- coming from the 15th century to today.

The highlights for us were the 2nd floor with the Scientific Instruments & Materials galleries - and the ground floor / church which housed transport exhibits all the way from a Model T to a F1 race car.

The museum is in a lovely old building & the church has spectacular stained glass windows.

It is a quiet museum- we went on a Wednesday morning & there wouldn’t have been more than 10 - 15 visitors, and we seemed to be the only foreign visitors.

I highly recommend this museum & thoroughly enjoyed our visit
