Eric and John were phenomenal tour guides and very knowledgeable about the history surrounding WW2. The tour is very refined and paced exceptionally well. The lunch was also great- we were pleasantly surprised by a fish, fries, and cider meal. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is a history enthusiast, or just curious about the events that occurred there.

The Big Bus Hop-On Hop-Off is quite popular — every bus I observed was jammed full. In colder weather like we had the last week of October, the half-enclosed top section can be quite desirable with a combination of excellent views and a little protection from the wind. The tickets were affordable, running 5-10 Euros below their competition the Toot Hop-On Hop-Off buses.

Where Toot shines over Big Bus (my mother and I rode Big Bus while a couple of family members rode Toot), is in having more convenient stops and more staff available at each stop. As an example, the Toot stop for Louvre Pyramid is actually at the traffic circle inside the Louvre complex with a direct view of the glass pyramid. Big Bus lets you pick up their bus either at the company headquarters 2-3 blocks away or around the corner and down the street 2-3 blocks, just outside the Louvre complex.

The joining instructions I got said I could get on at Louvre Pyramid so that’s where I had the taxi driver drop us off — and then proceeded to watch 3 buses just pass us by with no signs of where to pick the bus up. One driver motioned behind him and said “Office, office!” as he drove off while the second driver motioned forward and drove off (the third driver didn’t appear to even see us). We ended up having to ask the 2 (!) assistants at the Toot stop where to pick up the Big Bus and got directions to their stop. This stop, #2 on their map, didn’t have anyone there to assist the driver with scanning tickets.

The monologue on Big Bus is informative but somewhat of a series of cheesy skits and occasionally gets off-sync from the bus’s actual position. My family members who used Toot were very pleased with the information on their ride.

The Big Bus attendant near Galerie Lafayette was very helpful in directing us to food and toilets while also adding in a recommendation for the view from the top of the Galerie (excellent view of the Eiffel Tower from there).

In the end, Big Bus is an affordable way to see the major highlights of Paris and get a feel for its geography but if I had it to do again, I’d probably pay the extra money to take Toot.

It was a really good plan. Mokt Saint-michael pays all the long journey and the money for itself.
I think the stay in the island could be longer and come back to Paris a little bit later, even though it's a long way (4 - 4.5 hrs each direction).. But as I said, to me it worthy.
City Wonders and their guides were organized and gave enough freedom to do as you wish with your time.
The bus was confortable enough, with AC and heating if needed.

The tour was excellent! We loved the castles and wine tasting. The tour guides, Daniel and Johnnie, shared history and interesting color about the area. Would love to tour with them again.

The van was comfortable, the driver/guide, Nick, was safe, knowledgeable, and passionate about history. We were there early so crowds were low and we could really see the glory of the palace. We walked through the top of the gardens then had time to wander on our own a bit. It was a great tour!

Patrick did a great job on the tour, Christian is a very informative driver. I am glad we went on this tour. As a point for improvement; I would like to have a bit more in-depth information and less “free time”. 2 hours to walk around the gardens un-guided was way more than we needed.

Breathtaking greenery, most beautiful flowers you will ever see and wonderful scenic views with calm atmosphere. The beautiful garden with lake and bridges surrounded by flowers and greenery is an amazing sight to behold. The house is nice but Garden is outstanding. Even the pathway to approach from the bus stand or parking is amazing. Hidden Gem in France. Must visit if you have an additional day in France.

We had a great time on our tour. Took off right at 7am. Our tour guide Nisa was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and a skillful driver. We learned a ton and had a relaxing drive to and from Normandy and got to look at some peaceful and changing countryside.

Excellent small group tour to Monet's house and gardens in Giverny. Our guide was very nice and very informative. We heard about Monet's life in Giverny, Monet's family and other interesting historical information. It was nice to have plenty of free time in the gardens and house visit.
    Highly recommended

A lovely experience! There was a fair amount of people there, but it didn’t feel crowned. The bus could have been more comfortable. Very good guide (Sofia)!

Our pickup was on time and the driver was knowledgeable and pointed out relevant landmarks on the way to Giverny. Our biggest concern was the condition of the van. The door could not be opened from the inside by the passengers. The driver used a rigged wire to open the door from the outside. The air conditioning did not work and the driver was reluctant to allow us to open windows. There was a small crack in the front windshield.

This tour was the highlight of our trip! The tour guide shared his in depth understanding of the area, both from a farming and a sociological perspective. He was also very kind, and the places he brought us were amazing!

The tour was great, to see the DDay beaches first hand was incredible along with the cemetery which was very sobering but a beautiful place. Our guide was very knowledgeable with his history, a good amount of stops which were all relevant to the tour.
