One of the best beaches in the world and certainly in Europe. Most of the beach restaurants and bars are good to excellent although th hire of the sunbeams and parasols can be overpriced

We find Santa Guilia better than Palombaggio Beach.
The water is calm, clear and shallow for quite a long distance. Perfect for children.

Easy to catch the boat from the harbour for this 2 and a half hour tour. Very nigh view of the Islands and Bonifacio. No need to reserve ahead of time. There are several tours a day.

Nice place, 10min easy walk, possible also with small children, good to visit early morning around 9am
Not so overcrowded, you find easy place under the tree. Popular also by local people. Parking around 10€ /half day. Toilets near (not in!) restaurant (like "toi toi").

Bastia to Marseille, our of season as foot passengers. Although a treck to the ferry terminal we then had a courtesy bus to the ferry. Good clean ship and very quiet boat overnight (cf noisy engines on Corsican Ferries!). Confusion in online booking resolved when we found that they don't like non-French telephone numbers - so just put in any 10 digits and get on with it!

We visited Bonifacio on a one day tour from Sardines. The city is well worth a visit, it offer many small streets and alleys. Lots of small and cozy restaurants and bars. Except steep roads and lots of stairs.

Too many boats, driven by too many unrespectful people. The local government should block them before, as it happens in Lotu.

We went in August, but somehow the beach still had enough space such that it didn't seem overflowing with people. Waters were crystal clear, and the waves were not too strong. A great find!

These scenic stairs were built by Fransiscan munks to access a water source in a grotto by the sea. Very nice attraction to be done with sneakers or barefoot (slippers are not allowed). Beware the 187 stairs are high and steep (45d egrees),sometimes irregular.but absolutely worth it!

We chose to go late in the day, around sunset time
It was quiet and atmospheric, with good views from the top
    So was a good choice
