Place de la Bourse (Place Royale)
#1 of 91 Sights & Landmarks in Bordeaux
An excellent place to walk along the river and take in all the sights- there is lots to see! Beautiful buildings and great views of the river.
Most of the main sites are within walking distance, but our most memorable time was here at Place de la Bourse, where we joined with the crowds and paddled in the water of the mirror fountain, under the sunny skies.

St. Andre Cathedral (Cathedrale Saint-Andre)
#3 of 91 Sights & Landmarks in Bordeaux
Best stain class windows in this Cathedral - would love to see it full - it must be some site and energy - surroundings spectacular - east access and near tramway
It is also well worth paying €6 to climb the separate bell tower (Tour Pey-Berland) to get a unique view of the Cathedral and the city.

Notre Dame Church (Eglise Notre Dame la Grande)
#14 of 91 Sights & Landmarks in Bordeaux
... to be the cloister for Notre Dame and is now a venue for temporary exhibitions but still worth a look, partly in its own right but also because you get a good view of the church tower from within the cloister.
Worth a trip to view this beautiful church.
Pont de Pierre

Excellent view of it from all sides, the old bridge with history and beautiful architecture.
... the ornate lamp-posts arrayed across the span give a very pleasing appearance and in combination with the surrounding views of stately town-houses and gothic spires, it is a constant temptation to photographers.

The connection via Tram Line C is convenient, there were also shuttle buses to Line B. The view inside the stadium is marvelous, it creates a great atmosphere once the fans start singing, supporting their team.
... find the right alchemy to become one of the best sides in France to justify their new surroundings... Great for a match, but prefer the city centre for the "troisième mi-temps" as the site is a very remote.
