- YellowHammer09Manchester, UK56 contributionsWe had a fun family day out even though most of the museum was shut due to ongoing renovations. However this was clearly stated on their website so not a surprise. You need to book a time slot online before going which made entry quicker. We went for a free event that was aimed at getting children into science. Both of our love science so it was definitely worth going. We also visited the COVID-19 exhibition which was very informative and interesting. The staff offering demonstrations and talks were good at including everyone. We spent a long time in the experiment area which was busy but spacious. Having slightly older kids I was able to sit by the window and see both of them exploring and experimenting. We didn’t eat at the museum but they offer a picnic area and there is an on-site cafe. However the museum shop is very expensive!! My two had some money they had been saving to spend at the museum but I had to give them extra and we didn’t buy anything big. It also seemed the only way out was by going through the shop (I might be wrong). Overall a nice few hours spent with a teenager and nearly teenager, they got on with each other and didn’t realise they were learning. So it was a win, win for me.Written 5 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- John SpellerDagenham, UK810 contributionsThe building is designed like a football stand. I was lucky to join a tour, the guide was Craig, who was very friendly and informative. I was amazed at how many historic items there were: Geoff Hurst's 1966 shirt, the ball from the 1930 World Cup Final. On the second floor are interactive displays as well as many video clips. This museum is a must for any football fan, and reasonably priced.Written 14 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EJManchester, UK30 contributionsDespite being from just outside Manchester, I had no idea this place existed! Amazing collection of historic artefacts, and there’s something for everyone too. The way it’s all laid out makes it more interesting, and they pay a lot of attention to items that may have been acquired in unethical ways, and the respect that those items deserve from us as observers. The vivarium was also fab. Really enjoyed it!Written 15 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Claire A14 contributionsWent to watch Disney on ice, the doors it told you on the tickets to enter were closed which meant walking around for ages, not well signed that you enter via the train station, one in well organised, good seats and no problems. Much better arena than the other new one in the city.Written 15 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chris VBramhall, UK19 contributionsHave been to the Palace theatre many times, and the overall experience is consistently good. The Stalls seats we had, on row S provided a great view of the show and the pre-ordered interval drinks process worked really well to save time at the interval. The only improvement, is to provide additional staff on the bars (pre performance), queues at the stalls bar were out of the bar area and into the corridor. Would absolutely recommend turning up around 30 mins ahead of the performance, if you're wishing to purchase items at the bar. Also, as with many theatres, the price for drinks is crazy! But all in all a fantastic eveningWritten 16 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
