... the gardens, very interesting wander through the agricultural museum and a nice lunch - if you have time just wander around - forgot to mention the really nice staff (especially the guy on the car park entrance)
Peacocks shrieked as we wandered round one of the three lakes; the paths are all very well maintained with nature trails for little ones.

It's truly a landscape/nature photographer's paradise, and it was amazing to have five hours to wander around a 200+ acre island practically alone aside from a few other people exploring other areas.
When we were meandering up the southern coast to reach the gannet area, we felt like we were in either the Jurassic Park movie or a Famous five novel but in either case it was stunningly beautiful.

A petting farm, where all the animals are rescues and volunteer run, with a reptile section, 2 brilliant nature walks, a very well laid out outdoor play area, tours of the house and a great cafe.
Lovely place for families only €8 for the car park and that your entry fee too The walks are lovely and the house tour is good if you like a bit of history

Located in beautiful Courtown close to the beach, nature trails, and town amenities.

The new additions to the park (since our last visit) met with great approval, especially the Prairie dogs, Meerkats and Capuchin monkeys.
We had a fantastic time at secret valley, as it was off peak in November and the car park was empty we were unsure of going in, however once we arrived up at the cafe and met John, it was well worth the visit.

There are several places to park & you can access it at different stages along the way.
No development, just wonderful Irish nature and not a bad area to lay low for a few years after that well planned diamond heist!

Whether you park and walk or park and sit it's worth the narrow roads to get there.
This is hard work walking last of jouney up tarmaced road to peak after leaving car in car park below...nevertheless to see whole of county below compensates for boring past geography lessons as all reveals itself
