We needed a caffeine boost after an overnight flight and he took us to a lovely coffee shop with homemade goodies and a warm welcome. Our driver Campbell was punctual, courteous, friendly and most importantly we felt very safe in his care for the long journey. The vehicle was very clean and bottles of water were a welcome extra. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a pleasant transfer in all of my travels — not just in Scotland, but in general!
I think in the US we’re so accustomed to stoic drivers who just want to get to and from point A and point B, so this ride with Colin here in Scotland was refreshing. We were absolutely blown away by his kindness. He really went the extra mile to ensure we had the best ride possible, chatting with us throughout the ride. You can really tell he’s passionate about where he’s from, which we love.
He even offered recommendations for things to do during our stay in Glasgow.
In all, a lovely, exceptional, professional service. Assisted with our large luggages, helped us into the car — he even wheeled my Grandmother’s large suitcase into our hotel lobby.

Craig explained the workings of the van and ensured that we felt happy with everything, especially the workings of the pop up roof before we left. We had everything needed including the hiring of a port a loo and additional battery. With being in a small space it makes you realise that organisation is key in ensuring that things don’t rattle around and most used things are easily accessible.
Craig had sent numerous links which were gratefully received. He was quick in answering any questions before our adventure and even checked up on us and how we were getting on during the trip. Craig is very enthusiastic about his vans. In particular your trip and the stories you come back with to pass on to future customers. He is extremely knowledgeable and passed on his expertise with great encouragement to go back and ask any questions if we do go on to buy our own van.

After booking a confirmation phone call was received. The taxi arrived early, but the driver, Thomas, waited until we were ready. Thomas was helpful and courteous. He made our trip 100% better with his knowledge and history of Scotland, and, in particular, Glasgow. We traveled up to Fort William through Loch Lomond and saw a ship move through Neptune's Staircase right beside our hotel in Fort William! We took the Jacobite Steam train through the countryside - highly recommend! We drove south to Oban through Glencoe, probably the most beautiful place in Scotland. All the way, David spoke about each area with so much knowledge and passion and we ate it up! He also joined some of our group at the Distillery tours in Islay. He took us to Inverary Castle (beautiful) and finally, Kelvingrove Gallery and Museum. We all wish we had more time to spend there! David recommended a restaurant in Glasgow (Gamba) and it was great! Can't recommend David enough! The only way to see Scotland!

Reservations were easily made and we received email confirmation prior to travel with driver’s name and phone number. We were promptly met in a Mercedes sedan and had been offered something larger if needed. Our driver was excellent and personable. The price was very reasonable. If you need transport in the Edinburgh/Glasgow area, you will be VERY happy with this company. - Leo MNY, NY719 contributionsWe recently needed an early morning airport transfer from Glasgow to EDI and after a good bit of searching found Saltire Private Hire and were very happy to have done so. They offered a wide variety of vehicles - we chose an estate (station wagon to Americans) to handle us and our luggage.

The trip was something else, very halloweenish , although I don't recommend to take that trip at night otherwise you will miss all the details.

Our Driver Paul is an excellent driver, very polite and extremely helpful.
He was waiting for us on arrival, despite our 50 minute train time delay and arrived ten minutes early for our return trip, which was great.
