Always a super way to do some Christmas shopping and I’m looking forward to going to the next one in November 2021. I’ve picked up some fantastic unique gifts here for the last few years, always different makers/artists of a consistently high standard in attendance.

I shop here regularly with my two boys( who will never shop for cloths anywhere else) regularly and our wardrope must look like a slaters dept store . When we visit we always have a great experience, my son's wonder about looking for cloths and aren't pressured in any way but the staff are attentive enough to be there to help them at a moments notice. My 2 sons have autism and find the level of assistance very refreshing and not overwhelming., I have bought all my suits from here since I was 17 and I'm now in my late 40"s and I'm pleased to say I would recommend this store to anyone. Iv only ever had one awkward shopping experience where a young female assistant made me feel like I couldn't afford any of the suits from the back end of the shop for some reason must have looked rough that day or something. But that was only 1 visit out of over 60 visits and purchases.and it has never detered me from spending. Alot of people don't realise there is also a casual wear dept down stairs with a great selection of cloths. The only complaint I could ever really make is that I always overspend when I visit because the clothing ranges are great..

When we last visited (3 years ago), we felt that the Christmas shop had a much more extensive range of items whereas this year, it was not that good. However, we did have look around on other floors though nothing caught our eye.

A real hidden gem, little shops and studios, you can see the artists at work making pottery, stained glass and knitting! It’s small yes, each little unit only takes a few minutes to look around, and not all are selling much, but I feel you would see something different each time you visit. You have to search for some of them, they are hidden up nooks and crannies and down through doorways, but worth a look if you like artsy places. The taco place looked amazing for food but we had plans later for dinner so had a drink at the hidden lane tearoom, which was delightful. Lovely menu, stored away in my brain for another visit when we can eat there too. The staff were friendly and lovely, and we liked the little touches, like using vintage china and teapots.
Check opening hours before you visit as some units only open a few hours, we went Saturday afternoon and most were open. Would definitely visit again.

Such a cool place, a real creative hub. I love to lounge there with a coffee and my notebook, and the exhibits are regularly refreshed.

Sunshine No.1 shines like a beacon of light on a cold, damp January day in the Mount Florida area of Glasgow. The shop is immediately welcoming with a beautiful window display of genuine hand-made Scottish crafts. The shop only sells 100% genuine Scottish products which sets it apart from other craft-shops in the city.
A warm, friendly welcome awaits from the lovely shop-owner who is very helpful and took the time to describe where in Scotland the items are made and by whom. The crafts are beautiful and varied. (Check out the Sunshine No.1 website to see the full range).
If you're visiting Glasgow and looking for genuine Scottish crafts to take home, a trip to this truly delightful wee shop is a must.
(There are also lovely coffee shops very close by.)
I cannot recommend Sunshine No.1 highly enough. 5 stars

Very nice, large and nicely done out interior which belies its squat sturdy exterior appearance. Was quiet on a midweek lunchtime visit though there are Xmas fairs on weekends.

I was gift shopping and came across the two adjacent shops Kilt and Cashmere. Many tempting items especialy as seasonal sale was on!
I ended up buying a gorgeous mohair rug, two scarves and a Harris Tweed jacket.
Sangeeta spent hours patiently going through many options right near closing time.
I fancied a grey ith red streaks jacket wich was not available in my size.
Vandra phoned around and found the last one in the group, had it brought over by the next day and phoned me to let me know it was in.
Mary helped me to chose the mohair rug, ensuring that I had max sale discount, as did Sangeeta and Vandra. Had a lovely chat about art things with Mary who is a graduate of the Glasgow Art School!
So many tempting items - woolen, cashmere mohair and in a fab range of colours and designs. One scarf I bought is in the Glasgow colours.
Like many gifts I buy, I'd like to keep them for myself!! Many thanks to you all.

Fantastic service! Ordered a large selection of cigars online for my wedding. Slight hiccup on delivery, couriers end but was informed and dealt with in a class manor. Special shoutout to Adam who was absolutely brilliant. Dealt with it perfectly. Couldn’t ask for better service. Will pop into the Glasgow store when I’m next up there for work. Thank you.

As the store was participating in Record Store Day I visited it in attempt to secure a few limited releases
From a list of five I managed to purchase four Which was more than I had expected, but the staff also advised that I should call back midweek and they could possibly reorder the one that I had failed to find.
I'm very pleased to share that I did, and they did.
This is the first year that I have managed to cover everything that I wanted and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending that music lovers visit the shop if they are in Glasgow.

A curiously brilliant experience. I was warned, beforehand, that the bookshop was run by "two grumpy old men and one fat cat". The owners were, in fact, perfectly nice, even though we didn't interact much. The cat was present (note to people with allergies).

The books were mainly stacked in piles on the floor: towers and pillars and hillocks of vaguely thematically linked titles (e.g. one turret for fiction, another for history, classics...).

On first visit, I was convinced I wouldn't be able to find anything of interest, let alone those few particular titles I'd been hoping for. Still, quite keen on digging out something, at least, I decided to allocate the place an hour or two of my schedule on the second visit.

Lo and behold! - not even 10 min in, I'm spotting book after book after book on my wishlist! I had to stop browsing after the first three smaller bookpiles, because the shelf space back home was limited.

In the end, I left with 5 books for under 8 pounds - one very happy bookish squirrel, stacking up for the upcoming winter.

Great experience! Would highly recommend "Voltaire & Rousseau" to book aficionados willing to brave a potential avalanche. ;)

Serious issues with the cafe, not sure if there is a supervisor there or the staff just run themselves, they certainly need some training in manners they are very rude, I will not go back there again for coffee, which was not very nice
